if you read the book and do Atkins properly, it is healthy and does work. You do eat 20 net gms of carbs a day which is a very good helping of vegetables. Fruit or healthy sugars are only removed from the diet for the the first few weeks. Induction is the most extreme phase and just puts your body into ketosis or fat burning mode. Then you follow thru the next 4 phases and go on to a healthy way of eating for life.

Zero is the ideal, everything has carbs in it.
you call it a 'no carb diet' yet you allow cheese, cream and eggs...... Change the name.

Your brain needs carbs to function, good carbs, complex carbs, veggies etc. So why set up people to go to the extreme that may make you lose but then after you lose your weight you go back to eating 'normal' and either gain the weight back or more.

The 'Atkins" plan is a perfect example of removing simple carbs, eating reduced complex carbs (20 net grams a day) and puts you into ketosis. This is safe and works.... but they insist that you eat at least 15 net gms of carbs from veggies and 5 net grams from dairy.

reducing carbs is a good idea and eliminating simple carbs is even a better plan but you need the nutrients from veggies and some fruits. So be careful on which way you're guiding people.

It's time for it to come off
one day at a time and even one meal at a time... it works. Make small goals.. say when I lose my first 5 lbs I'll do.... (and not something food related) then make the next goal 10 lbs

Sounds lie you're making good choicesand when you decide to dump the slim fast make sure you replace it with good healthy natural choicees and you'll do fine.

How This Woman Lost 30kg without going to gym?
I increased my bone density by using weights I would never buy and use at home. I also learned to use them properly, a big difference from using centrifical force for movement.
I do walk outside and keep my heart and lungs healthy but in the winter months I go inside where the probability of me slipping on ice is reduced.
I don't go to the gym to lose weight. I go to the gym to stay healthy and keep my body alive.
The more muscle I build the more calories I will burn so it's a win situation and goes hand in hand with a good healthy natural balanced diet.

Constipation issues
try adding some coconut oil to your diet. a tbspn in your coffee or tea in the a.m. or some in your soup or whatever you can. Ground flax seed sprinkled on top of your salad or again in any of the food your eating.
