Good for you! forget the HCG, it's bunk along with raspberry ketones green coffee beans and all the other 'magic' pills or snake oils out there. Most people lose the weight from the HCG because they follow the 500 cal a day diet nadda to do with the drops or injections. Then after they lose it, they go back to their old way of eating and bam gain it all back plus some.

Eating low carb, if it works for you is a way of life, not a diet. Once you get those sugars and fast foods out of your system and eat healthy and 'clean' you'll feel so much better again and it's so much more important at our age.
Mother Nature is a cruel B* and after sending your thru peri and menopause and giving you night sweats and hot flashes and hormone malfunctions , she then continues on to give you 10 lbs extra you didn't ask for or want but no returns!! So we have to work harder and be more diligent about what goes into our body.

Eat healthy , eat clean and enjoy being healthy with weight loss as a side effect.

Hi Mariezzz, good for you for cleansing your body.. maybe Atkins was too strict and just not right for you, fine, keeping clean is the best way to go, I eliminated processed many many years ago and eat only complex carbs and healthy proteins and good fats.

You don't need to 'pigeon hole' yourself with a name... atkins, paleo whatever, just eat real foods, and enjoy weight loss as a side effect!

I know some that eliminated leg cramps with a magnesium pill before bed, stopped their kicking leg syndrome.

New Diet
I know WW has helped many and is still doing so but I have one problem with them, we need good fats, avocado's olive oils etc. but on WW these are high in points yet they allow and encourage processed crap that is low in fats but high in sugars.

That being said the only thing I would suggest is that both you and your wife journal the foods you eat, comparing your calorie and macronutrients with each other then she can tell you what the points would be from how she tracks it on WW.

Some have gone to (Canada) if you're in the U.S. and found entering your weight or settings there has made it work. Give it a try.

Good point wholefoodnut, I think we all forget that we can ask for different options and don't have to accept what's on the 'menu' or board...

I don't eat any fast foods because of health reasons more based on where the meats are grown and the breads are baked and whats in them.. But I can because of my job and position in life. I now see that Subway has cleaned up its act as far as the bread they offer, and A & W serves hormone free and no preservatives, its a small step in the right direction but is it an advertising gimmick or real?? Therefore I buy only from a local butcher and know what I'm getting....

That being said, Life on the road is all about choices and sometimes our eyes beat out common sense... So stay strong and think before you order.
