Is there a convenience store nearby that you can walk to that has eggs and heavy cream or anything? I know it is more expensive, but if you have to go buy it there, then maybe your husband will see it is more economical to actually get the groceries you need when you need them. :)

I feel for you as I can't imagine not being able to get up and go. It would drive me nuts! Sara's suggestion sounds good until you can get around yourself. Hang in there, it's just around the corner!

not having food in the house = eating out? that is always more expensive in the long run. in the interim - tuna is cheap :) that's what i buy when things are dire :S i do a meal plan for the week in advance because i know that if i don't spend the money on food as soon as i have it, i will spend it on other things :P

Being carless is a frustrating situation-- when my kids were all young, we only had one car and my husband drove truck from a company about 20 miles from the house, so when he would go to work, the car went and parked at the yard for anywhere from 3 to 5 days. My only saving grace was that we had a big grocery store and Walmart a few blocks up from where we lived, so I loaded all the kids in the stroller (or walking) and would do my shopping that way. One thing about it, that was when I was able to hit my lowest post baby weight (prior to this!). Don't know what your options are, but hopefully things will work out soon! And that last 5 will definitely be gone before mid August-- I have faith in you!

Something must have been in the air yesterday because I had a "pig out" day, myself :S Hot Cheetos sound like a worthy adversary. Sometimes we win the fight, sometimes we give in. But if that's all you did, it shouldn't have too much of an effect on your weight. I hope you manage to fix the grocery deficit soon so you can get back on track. Do you have a grocery store that delivers in your area? There are more and more places that offer online grocery shopping now. It might be worth checking out.

Yikes, no wonder you're frustrated! You would be thin as a rail if you weren't in this situation...because even with having to eat fast food and junk food, you're only 5 pounds away from your goal! Not bad at all! At least you know that your body is processing food rather well! hang in there friend. I feel your frustration!

I would not be happy with hot cheetos as an option, either. =S Frustrating to say the least. Counting blessing on even having them, is an option that I usually have chosen for myself in the past, knowing that several hundreds of ppl starve daily. It'll pass! :)

Hoping and praying that you get a car soon! I'd go absolutely crazy without one! Keep hanging in there and those 5 lbs. will be gone before you know it! Love the smiley face pic! :)

Mother-in-law is staying permanently????? Congrats about nearing your goal, that is fantastic! And I love the happy face pic - do you think you could send me the link please? I think that would be a great motivational desktop. On the car front, good things happen to good people who wait, and you are good people and you have waited long enough!!! Tia

Okay... now I have this mental hazy image of you in a floral frock and straw hat tied with scarf .... on a old fashioned bicycle with a wicker basket at the front, merrily cycling the hi-ways and bye-ways waving to passers by and dinging your bell as you go your way... (with your mom in law on the back carrier!! - would that work??). Am really hoping that you get that car before cabin fever sets in!
