Turning to food for comfort. Must stop. I cannot do this anymore. I know I can.

The Holidays are killing me as far as my food goes. I am struggling to stay on track. If I had not been sick and could not eat for a couple of days, I know I would have gained weight. I have to keep reminding myself, eat for fuel not for pleasure. Hope you all are staying the course. Together we can do this.

I have been doing this long enough now that the eating is becoming an unconscious effort. I automatically think of calories, nutrition, and carbs when I start to eat or think about what I want to eat. I do not always do what is right, yet I am more accountable now for each action. I do not eat a lot of sweets anymore. I used to do that a lot. They just do not hit the spot now like they used to. I still enjoy my food and because it is energy I think we should enjoy it. I am trying to eat to live and not to live to eat. I sometimes am not there yet. That is just a personal struggle. Hope everyone is having a good day. Happy thoughts for you today. Namaste.

I was not very good over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I am doing extra exercise this week before I weigh in on Friday. I hope not to have gained anything. I would like the numbers to still be going down. Not holding my breath on that one. Hope everyone else had more will power than me. I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one.

It has been three weeks sense I lost my Husband to Leukemia. I am trying to get my life back to a good normal. That for the most part is going well. I still have my moments of sadness, but I am trying not to turn to food when that happens. I am still at a slow loss rate. I hope to bump that up a little in the near future and still eat a healthy diet.
