tjham51's Journal, 02 November 2017

It has been three weeks sense I lost my Husband to Leukemia. I am trying to get my life back to a good normal. That for the most part is going well. I still have my moments of sadness, but I am trying not to turn to food when that happens. I am still at a slow loss rate. I hope to bump that up a little in the near future and still eat a healthy diet.

So sorry for your loss! Have you tried meditation? It helped me immensely.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what you're going through. glad you're still focusing on your health. for me, controlling what I can (diet and exercise) helps me deal with those things I cannot control. hopefully it will help you too. best wishes

I can't imagine your grief. Kudos for not turning to food for comfort. Society supports grief eating. Healthy choices are so much better. Mar Father God comfort you by His Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ during your time of need. Call upon Him and He will answer you. He loves you and wants to bless you.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I know of an emotional wellness tea, made my a grieving mother and it really helps. It is a healthy alternative to turning to food, a hot mug of tea can be very comforting. I would love to send you some!

I am so sorry for your loss. It's a strange club, and everyone's path of grief is different. I hope those around you are supportive, and that when people say "let me know if I can do anything" that you feel free to make specific requests. (Many of them will just vanish. Good riddance.) Heck, I bet plenty of people here would be happy to send care packages if there's an address you're comfortable sharing. Glad you're finding comfort in things besides food, and perhaps some nourishing foods will also provide some comfort in their own way.
