I'm 54 years young, currently 155lbs, living in Colorado. I have been eating low carb since 2003 but occasionally fall off my eating plan and put some extra pounds on as I have done this past year. As of May 1, 2013,I started the VB6-Vegan before 6pm lifestyle plan. My first goal is to lose 15 pounds. My next goal would be 10 more pounds for a goal weight of 130.

VB6 is something totally new to me as I've always been a low carb eater so this is a big change for me. So far, I'm loving it! I can still have my meat protein any day after 6pm. Can also have an occasional snack of any kind if I want. Having been low carb for so long, snacking is not really an issue for me but it feels great to know I'm not restricted to none.

I enjoy horseback riding, snowmobiling and walking in the mountains. I recently purchased Zumba to start exercising at least three times a week. I'm not much of an exerciser outside of doing things like horseback riding that don't feel like exercise.

How do I change a phase of diet that I'm following?
At the time of your weigh in, you can change the phase of the diet that you are following. From then on you will be recorded as following that phase of the diet, so when you rate a recipe or submit a tip and everything else on the site, you are associated with that phase of the diet.

1st day
Hi Chunky - I'm just starting back on low carb eating. Will have to truly begin tomorrow since my lunch today was not low carb Sad But I'm stuck with what I leave the house with since there's no where close to get anything else. Want to buddy up and get this done?

Atkins and foot/leg cramps
I've been eating low carb since 2003. I used to take potassium and it seemed to help. However, most recently I've found that apple cider vinegar does the trick. I drink two teaspoons in a small glass of water in the morning and evening. It took away the leg cramps the very first day. If you try it, get the Braggs Organic ACV with the mother in it.
