I used to be able to eat what ever I wanted without gaining weight until after I had my children and in my 30's. I just turned the big 60 and I work a full and part time job to make ends meet. I have been married for 30+ years to my wonderful husband who supports everything I do. I have two grown children who are my life, without my family I have no life. I enjoy watching Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med, The Voice and American Idol so you might consider me a couch potato if I'm not working.

To get a discount on health insurance my husband's company requires a yearly physical. In 20016 my physical wasn't good, I'd been on blood pressure medicine for years, my cholesterol was bad and my BMI was borderline obese. I knew if I want to be around to see my young adult Children get married and see my Grandchildren be born and grow up I had to make a lifestyle change. My doctor has me coming in every 2 months to see a nutritionist and so far it's working. The way I eat now is my new lifestyle, do I fall off track, you betcha but I get right back on. It's ok to indulge every now on special occasions but my conscience get the best of me and I'm right back to where I need to be.
