I'm 40 years old and married. I have a wonderful daughter. I'm a merchandiser(independent coontractor) and volunteer at my daughter's school in the library and in her classroom.
I have lost 60 lbs on Weight Watchers but gained about 30-35 lbs back. I have tried or read many diets but have decided to give Atkin's a shot.
All of my relatives that have died, died of heart disease. My mom has had congestive heart and my brother has had some heart problems. I want to break the cycle. I want to eat healthy and have a healthy lifestyle. SO that is why I am here.

Colleen you ate a lot of sodium yesterday. The ham, hot dog and kielbasa are all filled with sodium. Too much sodium will make a loss look like a gain. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I would just try to eat high sodium foods moderately. Drink your water and you should be fine. Liz

Hi dtjr. Do you know how to invite me as a buddy? I don't know how to invite anybody yet. If someone lets me know, I'll start inviting.

Hi Kay. I have a 8 yr old daughter who thnks she's a teenager already. She's a real girly girl who enjoys a good game of soccer and likes to play with the boys. Right now I'm taking a break from cross stitch but will probably go back this winter. What degree are you working on? I tried Weight Watchers 8 years ago, lost 60 lbs gained 30-35 of it back. Tried to get back on track with them probably 4 times over 4 years and just couldn't do it.

Hi Dot. Thanks for the welcome.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys better. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! Liz

Hi all. I'm new and don't know my way around here yet. So I've been lost. I'm happy to finally a forum that is more active. The 1 group I joined hasn't been active at all. I'm new to Atkin's, I started this past Wednesday.I'm looking for some new buddies to share info and support each other. I'm married,40 yrs old and need to lose around 35 lbs. My hobbies are being a soccer mom, reading, cross stitch, and watching movies. If interested in becoming buddies, drop me a line. Thanks. Liz
