I managed a 41 hour fast, but I'm so cold and tired, so I'm eating.

The bathroom is finally finished. I've not been eating badly - protein, fat and chia seeds with at least 16 hours a day fasting, but my weight has skyrocketed. A lot is because I've been feeling very wound up - the bathroom and stuff and my fibro flare up.
I'm fasting from yesterday evening until at least Friday morning - probably no longer as Tony's sister Jenny & her husband Ian are coming for lunch on Friday and unless I make something I won't eat (like cheese & onion pie) then I will eat with them.
Now that everything is sorted it should start to drop off - yet it never drops off as quickly as it goes on.

Normally my computer goes off at about 6pm and my phone not much later and I'm in bed just after that. At the moment I'm up a bit later as we're having a new bathroom suite and there's no loo upstairs. Last night at about 9.30 Tony & I had gone to bed and there was a knock at the door, the stallion in our field - Patch - had moved into a neighbour's field. A female there had been calling to him for several days and he'd succumbed. Tony and our gardeners - Julia & Matt (thank god for those 2 turning out) - went to try and get him home, but he wasn't having any. So the 4 of us were sitting in our dining room at 11 pm drinking tea & coffee when usually we're all in bed for 9 pm. What an evening - and they can't see how he got out of the field.
My weight keeps on going up - mainly, I know, because I'm drinking as little as possible so that I don't have to get up so much in the night.

Doing 20/4 fasting/eating for a day or 2, see how that works out. The bathroom should be finished this weekend and then I'll be able to get back into a weighing routine.

Over the last 3 or so years our 'going out' - ie getting off our own property - has been mainly down to once every 4 weeks to go to the doctors to collect filled prescriptions - no deliveries here and the doctors' make them up as there is no chemist, which takes about 15 minutes; and occasionally to the nearest charity shop - about half an hour in all. With occasional trips to Tony's ex-wife's for family parties.
This last month we've been on 'trips' the last 3 weekends on the run and we've decided that we must get out more. It's not that difficult to get a carer to look after Shirley and as long as it's one she's familiar with she's okay. We've decided that we're even going to take a night away -probably in early September - and visit Glastonbury & Avebury - 2 of our favourite places. We'll have the new car by then, with the wheelchair hoist so I'll have an electric wheelchair, which will save Tony trying to push me up Glastonbury High Street and Tor.
I had a blueberry muffin when we were out yesterday and I'm suffering for it today. The weather looks to continue fine and sunny this weekend and Wimbledon starts on Monday - who needs anything more.
Have a good weekend all
