I was born in 1943......Been disability retired since 2002 years....Gained 80lbs in that time frame. I cannot drive with this disability, so it has become a home life style. Cannot seem to get enough activity to burn off the calory intake. Exercise? None....and with weight gain I get lazier.
My 47 year old daughter died a month ago. She lived a sedandary life style. At 5 ft/1 inch tall she weighed in at 207 lbs. It took her. So ! at 5 ft/9 1/2 inches tall and weighing at 236 I am getting healthier. Key word at this age is HEALTHY.
Thus far I like this site for I do not need to learn to calculate calories. It's all here.

Anyone else battling hypothyroid??!!
I have an under active thyroid and I am always tired. I lost 6.2 lbs. this week. This site has helped me to keep in my calorie zone fairly well. I like entering the food I eat right after I eat. I weigh myself every morning. I am increasing my water intake. At this point I am drinking 4 glasses daily. My granddaughrter and I have a compitition going on. Whomever losses the most weight the other one has to pay for their tatoo. I don't care about getting a tatoo, but I love the compitition. It helps me focus. I started dancing at home for 10 minutes at least once a day. I also log the exercise. I wish you luck on keeping focused to your healthy way of living and Happy New Year. Michigan Mimi
