Not sure where to start with this, but about 10 years ago, I dropped close to 150 lbs. I had struggled with weight my whole life, but peaked at nearly 300 lbs. That was the wake up call I needed, and over a period of several years, dropped to a healthy weight. At my lowest, I weighed 155, which at 5'11" is pretty thin. I was there for about a week but then comfortably settled in somewhere in the 160s for several years. In 2005, I had a lower body lift to get rid of some extra skin. Though I still have lots of "extra meat" on my legs and thighs, I'm pretty happy with my mid section.
Since the lift, I continued to struggle with my eating, and even though I was working out like crazy (my boyfriend's a personal trainer, so I don't really have a choice--jk!), I found myself continually playing around with gaining and losing the 10-15 lbs. When I hit 180, I decided to get really serious and get my eating under control again.
Thankfully, around that time, I attended a Healthy Eating class at they gym and got some great tips that have really turned things around for me. I'm under 165 again and would like to drop some more, but am not stressing about it. My clothes fit comfortably, and again, because I'm so tall, 164 is a pretty healthy weight. (Of course, I don't think I'll ever be thin enough, but that's me).
That's about it. I find it frustrating that this site doesn't have anywhere to put your height because without that, the weight is sort of misleading. Otherwise, this site has been an invaluable resource.
