My name is Lauren and I am a SAHM mom of 4 kids 5 and under. Yes, you read that right! I have struggled with my weight since college (culinary school....didnt help the situation!). Before I got married I managed to lose all the weight and got to a very nice 110 lbs (I'm only 5'2", on a good day). Well, being pregnant for 4 years really does a number on your body and I got to a whopping 220 with my last pregnancy, twins born May 2009. I started to lose the weight pretty consistently until I got a Depo shot. It screwed me up so bad I shot back up to 210 and hovered there for months...the shot has finally worn off a year later and I am back on track and ready to get my life/health back. After all, I need all the energy I can get with 4 kids!!!!

Doing everything right.. but i feel like i am gaining weight .,. is this normal??
Actually, thats not really the case with Atkins. You dont have to "count" calories, just make sure you are getting enough. Thats one of the perks. And as part of the 4 phase Atkins lifestyle, there are a lot of healthy carbs, just not refined ones. By the time you get to the Maintenance Phase (4), you are eating "normal". Nothing white though, but healthy carbs. And, BTW, Dr. Atkins was not obese, he had a blood clot on his brain from in icy fall, this is a common rumor. Kristen, as long as you read the books and follow the plan you will do great! This plan isnt for everyone, but a lot of people have great success! Good Luck.

net?
If you are doing Atkins and mean "net", I have a feeling that you need to read the book. Cause there is a lot of "net" information. I mean A LOT! We need some more info from you though...what is your plan?
