I'm bbe (Reesie) 49 yrs old. I just began the Adkins weightloss plan and am looking forward to loosing weight and maintaining it. I am the mother of one daughter 20 yrs old with a full time stressful job. The diet distracts me from thinking about some of the stresses at work. I like to walk, read sometimes when I have time, or when my mind is not racing a million miles a minute. Since my daughter is older now and semi-independent, LOL I thought it was a good time to do some things for myself so the weight loss is the beginning. Ihave tried dieting before, but I am taking a new approach to dieting at this time by following a plan.My do it yourself diets don't work...I want to get into some different activities like bowling, maybe some group activities, and perhaps a book club. Just time for something different.

sodium concern
I'm very concerned about my sodium intake. Especially when it comes to salad dressing, and vinegaretts. I sometimes rely on tomatoes to create moisture in my salads so I don't use dressings. Is there a such thing as a lower sodium salad dressing? I sure could use some. Besides lemon juice, or olive oil, and tomatoes....

Diabetes and Adkins
Is anyone out there diabetic and still on the Adkins diet? If so can you give me some insight on how you manage your diabetes and stay on the Adkins plan?

Bad Breath on Atkins
I find Wrigley's Extra Sugar Free gum very helpful. Peppermint or Spearment are my favs......
