Hi All,

I'm a huge fan of the outdoors. Hiking, biking, climbing, etc. It's all fun! Unfortunately my love of food (and baking...) far out-weighs my love of the outdoors.

And thus, I'm here trying to lose a few.

Please feel free to drop in and see what I'm doing!

I have the solution for cellulite, but it is not easy.
Fat itself does not cause what is often referred to as 'cellulite". I'm fairly certain that it's an issue with connective tissue failing to retain fat below the skin's surface in a smooth form.

(Female connective tissue is lateral/parallel while male connective tissue is criss-crossed. Lucky them!)

I don't think it becomes an issue of what you use to massage the affected areas so long as you massage the affected areas to increase blood flow to keep your connective tissues healthy. Other than that, losing a few extra lbs can help smooth out the area by shrinking fat cells which are forcing their way through gaps in the connective tissue.

Sadly, as we age, connective tissues start to go awry by stiffening or loosening in various places and you end up with dimples and loose skin. That's life. All women are affected somewhere on their bodies.

If you're really set on using coffee as a rub for the caffeine benefit, go with a non-brewed espresso grind for max caffeine absorption. Brewing coffee not only strips the beans of most of the caffeine but also changes the pH balance. Personally, I'd rather drink a cup o' joe than rub coffee into my legs which will likely do nothing for fat cells.

If you're still set on attempting to solve the cellulite issue before reaching your goal weight, I suggest convincing your sweetie into giving you a deep tissue massage or getting a professional one done once a month.

Good luck with all that! Smile

P.S. Losing 50lbs significantly reduced the appearance of cellulite dimples in my legs. Diet, exercise, massage and 100% PURE Cocoa butter found at most health-food stores were all I used.

IS THERE ANYBODY THAT LIVES IN WASHINGTON STATE???
Hey there Lakayla. I live in Washington State.
If you like to walk, just google walking groups in seattle. For example, Walking Meetup, Seattle. Very Happy

(I guessed Seattle since that looks like Pike Place in your photo.)

How to make Sun Tea:

Supplies:
1 very large glass jug or jar with tight fitting lid.
Several tea bags depending on container size.

I use a 1.5 gallon canning jar (usually found at specialty cook shops or the Container Store/Storables). Fill with filtered water and add several tea bags (4 to 6 standard) or loose tea (1/2 C) directly to the room temp water.

Place in a very sunny/warm location. Sunny decks, porches, yards and driveways are perfect. Let the sun do the slow brewing! Depending on temp/sun exposure it could take 4hrs to 8hrs to get a good brew.

When the tea is brewed to your taste, remove teabags or strain loose tea and enjoy over ice! Super easy and no need to boil water.

Favorite varieties for sun tea include: fruit/herbal blends, green/fruit blends, black/flower blends.

Zumba!!
There's a Zumba class at my gym. It sounds like a lot of fun but it's at a really unfortunate time for me... Hmmm.. maybe I'll rearrange my schedule.

Weighing yourself while exercising?
I don't think they're implying that you should lose 2% of bodily fat. I think they're implying 2% of bodily water, otherwise you're pushing some major dehydration. >.>
