I am 53 years old. Married and we have a son and a daughter that are both adults. I have 2 grandsons that I watch before and after school. We have 4 dogs and a stray cat that we feed. I live in a small town in Iowa. My husband is gone during the week for work.

I have tried many diets over the years, none of which I could sustain as a way of life. I started January 19th, 2015 Low Carb. I think I was just finally ready to get healthy. It has been amazing how easy it has been. I do give myself permission to have a "treat" if I want it without guilt or remorse. Funny thing is, when I know I can choose to have something, most of the time I choose not to. Turns out, the mind is a powerful weapon/asset on this life journey!
UPDATE: it's been 2 years and still working toward goal weight. We lost 2 of our dogs and the ol' stray cat in 2016. I have NOT given up!

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I used to weigh once a week but I started a month ago with a trainer and have decided to not weigh until April. I am going to gauge how it's going by my clothes. I am tired of being a slave to the scale AND a number!

I went to fatsecret.fi/ and was able to sign in just like on here. There was an option to translate so I did. All my info and buddies showed up on there so maybe her request will show up here? I am on a computer, not mobile site....
