My mom put me on my first diet when I was 5. I struggled for years with weight and insecurity. I was ill from 15 until I cured myself at age 30. I cured my depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, etc. I had a spiritual awakening during my healing period and came out of it a whole new person! At my largest, I was 262 lbs. After my healing, and at my smallest I had ever been, I was 170. I had been vegan for a few years and gained 40lbs not realizing it was all the carbs. I did a 12 day water fast earlier this year and got down to 165. Now back up to 190, I'm ready to love myself into a healthy body. I'm ready to start seeing myself as the person I know I am. Thanks for being on this journey with me. Much love and blessings to us all!

Thanks for the interesting thread. I found Dr. Berg on YouTube about 8 months ago when I started doing intermittent fasting. He's a big advocate of keto + IF. I take some of his supplements too. I love them, they are great. I didn't believe in the whole keto thing. I am currently a vegetarian but on/off vegan for the past three years. I have gained weight being vegan or vegetarian and even raw. It was hard to believe that keto could work, but I tried it anyways. After 3 years, I'd put on around 30lbs from eating clean and healthy. After watching hundreds of Dr Bergs videos and doing research, I do believe keto is awesome. I started it 4 months ago and have only lost 13 pounds, but that's 13 more pounds than I lost being a vegan and eating clean! I feel amazing, I'm losing inches, I'm gaining muscle, and I do believe that sugar/carbs are the root of my inability to lose weight- specifically insulin resistance and leptin resistance. As I start to heal that part of me, more weight comes off. I am in a calorie deficit, but all calories are not created equal- I believe that whole heartedly! I could eat 2000 calories of a carb laden meal and still be hungry. I eat 1400 calories of mostly fat and I stay full. It's been a miracle and a blessing! I wish that you all find what works for you and you feel as great as I do!
