I've been fighting the scale since my childhood, but I used to be slightly overweight.. Originally from Brazil, I shed off some pounds when I first got in USA, during my period of adaptation in a new country. Even when the new diet going on, I've tried hard to avoid fast food and candys (there are plenty of them everywhere I go!!).. but after my "grace period" I kinda got addicted to mcdonalds, m&ms, skittles, gummys, chocolates, coke, and so on... thus I've gained more pounds than I should, and this is my highest weight ever. Now that all this weight thing went completely out of control, I feel so ashamed to say that I am obese and I need help!
I've been tracking my calories intake lately, just curious to see how many calories I was eating along the day to make me gain like 20 pounds in less than 4 months, and by chance, I found this website (i was looking for calories in a "ferrero rocher"..) .. how funny things are...
Anyways.. I really like it so far, with all the challenges, community, people "suffering" the same problem. I am starting over, giving myself some credits for opening up my life for people that I don't even know.
