Hi, I am 28 and I have strange health and in my teens and early 20's I was active and thinner then I am now, I had to have a serious surgery on my pancreas and now I feel healthy enough to try to gain control of my wieght and size of my waist. I have read many diets but this is officially the first diet I have honestly tried. I started June 5 actually and I have slowly worked up being able to work out five times a week, which I did last week for the first time... I had taken clomid the week privious and I was so drained. Where the other times I felt great after working out I was wasted... I don't think I am going to take clomid again. In two weeks I will start to tweek or change my diet, I thought setting a habit in excercise was more important and my eating isn't so bad. So far I haven't seen much change in the weight on the scale, but my clothes fit better. What else about me, I have a husband who is 375lbs and he is having a tougher time sticking to working out... but we will work on better eating habits. I work out for an hour usually and he is up to 10 minutes... so it is tough to work out with him, because I don't feel I can count on him. I also have two cats. That's about all.

Me on a diet Ha
That is the secret if there is a secret, to takes smal steps and get better as you are able to. I worked on walking 30 minutes and worked up to 4-5 times a week and now I am upping the time I am on the treadmill... it is fun to see the lbs dropp off and so it motivates me to keep working up my workouts.
I am excited for anyone who is making healthy changes... right now I am loosing the same 2-3 lbs everynight and it is frustrating because I haven't hit my mini goal of under 200lbs. but I have to get excited about the little sucesses like walking faster pace and longer time... So when you get stuck and you don't see results keep it up I think it just takes time and you have to learn to celebrate the small stuff.

Hey all, need some help
So have you read the book? I have it made more sense to me, the problem is that my husband isn't supportive of this change so I make little tweeks every week or so. I have been able to maintain the 7ish lbs that I lost and I am back to work at it again. Don't overwhelm yourself, take things one bite at a time, clean out the pantry of stuff that you shouldn't eat, processed sugars, and such stuff like enriched flour... natural sugars are better, so have fun with the fruit and veggies, and pick some recipes you think you will like and incorporated them into your diet. My biggest help was working on working out first and then it supports and encourages better eating. Have fun good luck let me know how I can help. I am back on the wagon for better health.

Depression
I was good for 4-6 weeks then I went on clomid and then on hell broke loose. All the things I thought I was over and had gotten past were back on top and needed to be dealt with. The conclusion I believe for all this is I can't have any expectations of my father, my father who has been an adsents in my life for over half my life, is now back and before he was abusive on so many ways... but he is acting repentant and a girl wants the love of a father... But it takes alot to get beyond the past, hence the no expectations, then I can be grateful of what he can and might give.
So now it is August and I am hopeful that I can turn the page and move forward loosing weight. Thanks for having this forum.
