maeday42's Journal, 03 March 2017

It's Friday!!! I don't know why I'm so excited, since I'll be cleaning/packing my Mom-in-laws house. It's going to be brutal, they collected a lot of stuff since 1962. Actually, I do know why I'm feeling good today. I got up with a 94 sugar and am down almost 3 more lbs. That's why I'm excited!! I was a little down with a .2 drop last week. I went through my journal and food choices and well, I didn't do the work so I have to deal with the outcome. Since I had difficulties following my Keto at my Mom in Law's house, I got up a little early this morning and packed the foods/baking supplies I need. I am going to reach my goal, so I'm doing the work! We're also going out to eat Saturday (Mom in Law 89th B-day) to the Caryle Grand - love that place. Reviewed the menu and know I'm going to have to alter anything I order, but I'm going to make the best effort I can to stay on track. I really love their shrimp and cheese grits though - ugh!! :-)

I feel ya...we had to clean out my in-laws house after my father in law passed away and it was 45 years of stuff from basement to attic and the hardest thing to do....to go through someone else's lifelong possessions and sell or throw away or donate most of it....

Moving in the right direction. And the fact that you are also physically moving helps a lot. Enjoy the shrimp ... easy on the cheese grits (I know, I know).

You are on fire! My sympathies on packing the MIL, as I know it is grueling to deal with other's stuff. Good for you for packing your own food and planning ahead. So often those two actions are what throws us for a loop.
