Eat only when HUNGRY and NOT when bored! That often cuts proportions of meals and the habit of eating unnecessary snacks :)

mernaemad, we are very close to the same place. I'm losing by keeping track of every bite, reducing carbs and calories, and getting more active. BIGGEST THING is the support I get here. the same support you will get. The ease of counting calories with FS is a great tool. Keep positive, be honest with yourself, learn with the help of our FS community how to be healthy. Good luck to you on your journey!

To loose with great comfort, please consider increasing animal sourced fat and proteins. Like animal sourced fat is only 5 calories per gram, and will act as a very strong appetite suppressant. Loosing body fat means that you have to use fat as fuel. Training yourself up to become a fat burning machine requires that you practice by eating animal sourced fats. Enjoy things like steak, eggs, bacon, ground beef etc. Your weight loss journey will turn pretty smooth and easy going. The hardest part may be to leave out convenient foods. Home cooking is almost required, and will be a major upgrade of lifestyle and lead to happy health. Best of luck to you.

hi and welcome! There are a variety of ways of eating (woe)in this community that people use to lose weight. Find one you can stick to long term and not be miserable. Basically it's about eating well and having a calorie deficit. (and yes there are ways of eating that work even if you don't eat animal products). look around the community here and see what looks like a plan that you like. Ask them about it, research it, give it a shot.

My advice would be about the psychological battle. There are many ways of eating that will be effective for weight loss, so do whichever works for you - the people here have great ideas :)
But keep reminding yourself of your REASON for doing this. Get in the headspace every day - I go on YouTube and watch someone's weight loss story every single day to motivate me, and I strongly recommend this. Track everything and talk to people, here :) Good luck!
