Good Monday morning everyone!! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!

This was a good weekend for me. It started out a little rough, there was a fight at home and some unkind words were said but it has all been smoothed over so far. I found a supplement that may help my husband with his bi-polar, its called Lithium Orotate, and people swear by it. He used to be on other things, but once his BP dropped to normal, he didnt want to take things that made him feel yucky anymore so he stopped. I had noticed that his moods were fluctuating a lot, so I researched and found that this supplement has really helped people. He has taken it the last couple of days and it seems to be helping him mellow out a little. We shall see...

I have been seeing some people talk about hair loss and nails feeling flimsy, that will happen with a large caloric drop from what I have read. I take Biotin once a day, 10,000mg pills. It seems like a lot, but thats what is supposedly in one little pill and I take it in the morning. My nails are noticeable stronger, they used to peel and crack a lot, but not so much anymore. My hair isnt doing much better, but once I get to maintenance, I know it will even back out. I just hope I dont loose it all by that time! haha!!

Found some coconut oil at a good price this weekend, and had it today with my coffee...WOW!!! SO much better than butter! It gave the coffee a slightly sweet taste, but still no carbs. I am going to pick up some whipping cream to make it creamy tomorrow, but I will say, I like the coconut oil WAY better than the butter. I liked the butter, but this is just more palate appealing. Still fatty though, so yay for that! #keto-on!!

I hope you all have a great day! Did anyone do anything fun this weekend? Any NSV to tell us?? Let me know!!

I love your new profile picture, so pretty! Let us know how the supplements work for him, my daughter battles with bi-polar too and I would love to send along the recommendation if you are happy with it.

Klynn, for hair loss, find a natural lavender shampoo, or simply put lavender essential oil on your scalp after every shampoo. Massage your scalp. Do this while your hair is still wet, and do not blow dry. About essential oils, some companies sell caustic garbage, so look online for good ones. Mix one drop with a few drops of olive oil before the massage. I use Young Living. It might be less expensive to go to a health food store and buy a good lavender shampoo, such as 365 brand at Whole Foods.

Has your husband tried your diet? I learned with my daughter, (and myself), that mental disorders abate when all chemicals are removed from the diet AND the environment. This story is fifteen years old, but whenever life gets frustrating, we remember the lesson! http://www.feingold.org/stories/emily.php

Over the weekend I went to see a community theater production of Little Mermaid with my mother. My daughter played one of the eels. She is 25, she's been into acting since she was in 4th grade.

I hope your fingernails and hair get better, I am with you, I tried the butter just because I everybody talks about it here, but I prefer coconut oil, I love the flavor in my coffee. What kind of cream do you put in your coffee?
