umm, please don't eat that. It isn't actually food. It's disguised as food but it is something else altogether. If you have your heart set on eating it, it looks like a tablespoon to me. A tablespoon of something.

I like your comment about that not being food. 👍🏻😉

Its too hard to tell how large the portion is. It is whipped palm and vegetable oils.

I agree with Officially39, that's not food and don't eat it.

If you don't recognize all the ingredients in it, Its not food, but chemicals, butter usually says butter. Butter eaters make better lovers.. LOL

@Officially39: If it's between this or butter... I would pick this. It is made mostly from soybeans, which in raw form are quite healthy.

Thanks guys! You made my morning.

I would choose real butter. Butter is a "real" food. This was chemically treated with artificial coloring and flavorings.

definitely butter is a much better choice it's real food !

I agree with DS107 and go with a good quality butter. 'Hydrogenated Soybean Oil' mean transfats, which translates to clogged arteries. I've read that palm oil is also a killer.

I disagree that not recognizing the ingredients means that it's not food. That just means that you aren't educated on what those words are. When you were a child you probably didn't know what sodium chloride (table salt) was but now you do and its OK. I also think it's rude to interject on someone's post to make them feel bad about a food choice they made just because you don't agree with it. You do you @boldlygogames. Looks about a tablespoon to me.

In answer to your question, a tablespoon is 15ml, or about half an ounce.

And if you can't eat butter, olive oil works, too (if you stick a bowl of it in the freezer, you'll end up with homemade spread)... :)

vegetable oil is bad.

@TMCB82 In order to get to this from raw soy beans they have to do all sorts of extractions and then add hydrogens to what they extract. It's just not as stable as other fats. Soy beans are great. I love me some edamame. They use soybean oil because it is super cheap, not because it is healthy. You know that because of the contradiction of using soybean oil, an oil high in supposedly "heart healthy" polyunsaturated fats and palm oil, an oil high in "heart unhealthy" saturated fats. @Call Me DK I did not mention anything about not recognizing the ingredients. I recognized the ingredients and classified them as only loosely edible. If you find them completely edible, go forth with your highly educated self and eat as much of the stuff as you want. @boldlygogames if as CallmeDK says, I made you "feel bad" I apologize. There is a ton of clinical evidence out there that supports hydrogenated vegetable oils being unhealthy. Perhaps my comment was too flippant and hurt your feelings. I didn't make it with that intention. Just wanted to say there are healthier options out there that taste better too!

@ Call Me Dk, I also need to apologize for not answering your direct question, I guess I will have to watch my nutritionist objections for healthy options when answering questions in future. If I made you feel bad, very sorry, as that was not my intent..but I do have complaints with chemicals in foods in USA as why we still allow it , I know its the $$$

The manufacturers use hydrogenated oils because they're cheap and have a long shelf life. Our government lets them do it because the manufacturers are good at lobbying... :(

Hi, this is a Sysco food service product. Tried to google but came up short. Normally would be a serving but cannot tell what they consider a serving. Again, moderation. The choice is always yours...

these are usually 1 serving so if the serving is one Tbsp then yes. To be sure on these kind of things I will take one home and actually measure it up so I know for the future.
