Klynn82's Journal, 15 March 2018

Today is going to be a long day. My husband has to go in to get an ultrasound or his..umm..intimate areas. There is some swelling and a painful lump that has sprung up. I am worried sick for him and wish that I could be there but his sister is taking him. He said he would call me when it was all over, but I havent heard from him yet.

I heard someone say once that the saying "God wont give you more than you can handle" is false, that God will give you WAY more than you can handle to teach you to trust in him and rely on him. I am definitely in a season of way more than I can handle and I just am scared and feel so alone.

Im hungry, I shouldnt be. I know its stress, but I cant stop it. There is too much going on and I have no outlet besides here and I know you all dont need to know all this junk when you are dealing with your own stuff. I am so sorry.

I wish you all the best in your journey to health, I hope you all have a wonderful and productive day.

Same here. Husband had lumps on both sides of his groin, double hernia. Minor surgery took care of it. Could be as simple as an ingrown hair. Don't worry till you have to. Will say a prayer for him. Take care.

God bless you and your hubby. He will always help you, no matter what - but remember it isn’t just God at play, there are always other forces at work to try and pull you down. Remember He will always be there to listen to you and to guide you any time of the day (both of you). And I know it’s not much, but the community is always here too, never apologize, it’s why we’re here. 😊

Thank you everyone. I dont want to get too graphic here, but we are sure its not a hernia because it is on the shaft, swollen all the way around. Maxie, thank you! I try to be positive, but there are definitely days that test that. I appreciate you so much!! love you back!!

KLYNN82. You are absolutely right. God does let us go through things that teach us to lean on HIM and trust HIM more. HE promises HIS peace, strength, etc. etc. HE is faithful, we can trust HIM. www.annegrahamlotz.org has a devotional study called "5 things a storm can't destroy". I did it just this morning and was so encouraged. She has over 50 of those studies that can be printed off. I use one every day. They are so encouraging. Let our "faithful Father" encourage you through this difficult time in HIS word.

Well there is a little bit of god in everyone, so rely on the god in you to give you strength. I always find that just going for a little walk helps. If you live in place that's not that nice or easy to walk, get on the bus or drive to a pretty park and let God's green earth help you. Best wishes.

I will add prayers for you and your husband and the doctors. I was told we aren't offered protection from the storm but trusting in God gives us the ability to weather the storm. Stay strong and know that there is a community here to support you.

No need for you to be sorry. Your honesty is good for all of us particularly the point that we are all reliant on God's mercy each and every day regardless of our circumstance.

Drink before during and after you eat - Your stomach is filled with fluids - Thanks for the support - On worrying, this is my trick - If I can't do anything about, I don't worry about that but work so it don't happen again, or if I can do something about it , I do it - I stick to this and it works 95% of the time - A person that cares is one that has a lot more stress than one that doesn't, just remember that !!!! Much success to you!!!!

Klynn, outlets are critical to dealing with life. Prayer, mediation, exercise, and 1-2 minutes deep breathing several times a day. I have a lot of stress. I pray I won’t fall when I get on my elliptical, breath deeply throughout the exercise, and meditate on what work needs to get done in what order so I can get to bed in time to take advantage of circadian rhythm sleep and melatonin release. It feels great when it comes together. So easily derailed. It’s terrifying to deal with the medical industry and I’m sorry it’s come at you. Keep strong!

We're here so you have an outlet, and yes, we do have our own stuff but that just helps us understand. Everyone needs a release sometimes. Will be thinking of and praying for you and your husband.

That sounds super stressful! Hope everything turns out well. As far as stress eating, especially when you know it's stress, try chewing gum. It helps to trick your brain into thinking it's eating when it's not.
