I prelogged my dinner and I am within my NC limit... but contemplating being super naughty and having a brownie with ice cream with my family tonight...

Also, I have questions for those of you who use medicinal Mary Jane... or CBD.
has it helped with any of your inflammatory problems? And has it hindered your weight loss or helped? Has it relieved any negative symptoms and how?

Curious if this is a route I should be rethinking. My gut health, fatigue, pain, ptsd and inflammation seem to be so rocky all the time. I live in Cali where this would be easy for me to access...

@jminus15, I have read there are different types... some make you sleep, some make you giggly, some give a body high... and I think some hybrids mix some qualities. But I think some types aren’t supposed to give the munchies just make you sleepy... I’m still looking into all of this. I just want to use it at night for sleep aid, I think better quality of sleep will significantly improve my days.

CBD oil should not make you hungry, as the psychotropics have been removed, I take a few drops under my tongue before bed, I am on Methadone for pain, and have been able to cut the dosage in half using the CBD oil.

as for the Mary Jane, I am 60, and was a teen in the 70s, and yes, it does give you the severe munchies!

@alan that’s awesome it helps reduce your medicine dose!! Haha, oh my, to be a teen in the 70’s, that would have been fun 🤣🤣 Do you have a prescription or order online or locally?

Have you done a sleep study to make sure you don’t have sleep apnea? I don’t sleep well either and feel tired most of the day. My dr ordered a pulse ox test when all blood work came back normal. Pulse ox showed my oxygen dropping while I do sleep. I go in for the overnight sleep test next week🤦🏼‍♀️ I really don’t want a cpap but if it means I will sleep better and have more energy, I’ll do it. In my mind, only excessive weight causes sleep apnea but I guess Im wrong. Might be worth a try

@momma I haven’t done a sleep study, I have always had extreme sleep issues though. I sleep better during the day 🤷‍♀️ it is like I’m nocturnal. But I think it’s adrenal fatigue, my energy levels peak at weird times and my exhaustion happens when it shouldn’t. Like I wake up tired and go to bed full of energy. I rarely drink coffee or caffeine, I don’t eat sugar... I remember hearing someone talk about how they close their eyes at night and wake up and it’s morning time 😳 I have NEVER done that. I wake up at least three times a night and some nights I can toss and turn and fall back asleep, other nights I stare at the clock for hours. I did wear my Fitbit at night to track my sleep and I was always restless or awake more than I was asleep ☹️ It’d be hard for me to get a sleep study done, due to my daughter’s PTSD after losing her Daddy I haven’t been able to be away from her over night or more than a couple hours, she panics... this mama needs a night away, if I could spend a night or day away, I would probably opt for a spa or Vegas getaway 😜

Sounds SO familiar! Our sleep patterns are similar. The pulse ox test is just an at home test so maybe you could try that and see if it shows any abnormal oxygen drops while you are sleeping?? Then you can decide if you want the overnight study and how to do it if necessary. Just a thought. Not sleeping well at night is SO frustrating. Good luck!

I’ll look into the pulse ox test. Thanks! Sleep issues are the worst. I have really contemplated just becoming nocturnal. 🤣🤣 because I could probably get a lot done around the house instead of just tossing and turning at night and then being a tired exhausted zombie during the day who gets barely anything accomplished. Homeschooling my preschooler, (teaching a kid to read and right and learn the basics of math is not easy) and then teaching my extremely intelligent 9yo is so mentally exhausting, she’s doing chemistry, French, sign language, studying ancient civilizations, pop culture, algebra, cooking, knitting, studying music, yoga, lego engineering and reads at a high school level... oh and she’s writing s novel, that she nonstop shares with me... after all that I only do the bare minimum around the house 🤦‍♀️ I think I just need a vacation...

Wow, I must be tired, I typed “right” when I meant “WRITE” 🤣🤣😩😩🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Wow, you do need a vacation! Wish I could give you one. I get the exhausted thing...I have 5 kids ages 17, 14, 11, 7 and 2. Not sleeping at night makes it so hard to function well for them during the day. You are an amazing mom and they will so appreciate your sacrifice someday❤️

Do you take melatonin at night? It can help those sleep patterns without turning you into a zombie. Lack of decent sleep can cause lots of other problems. It’s why I use it. 🤷🏻‍♀️I used to be on prescription sleeping pills, but melatonin works better without the side effects. 🙋🏻‍♀️

@smp melatonin gave me nightmares 😱 so does Benadryl. I read a while ago it is because it puts me to sleep so fast that I go into the dream state too quickly and the dreams are vivid and usually scary. But I am willing to try it again. Maybe I will have Malcolm pick some up while he is out. Also I was drinking Golden Milk for a while, I think it helped a bit but I cut out milk and honey from my diet.

@momma wow, five kids... I don’t know how you do it!!! I always wish we could have one more... but not until we own a home, which may be never since living in California it is hard enough being a one income family... no money to set aside for a home.

@kaysea Oh gotcha. I’ll def look into Noni juice! Thanks for the good info!!

I use a CBD vape nightly, it helps a lot. My favorite strain is harliquin. I just make sure to brush my teeth after and drink my water after, that seems to curtail any additional cravings I may have. Hope you find what works for you!

It is more effective than taking a Percocet. Reduces a lot of pain and doesn't make me feel shitty (or on that note block you up). Too much ibuprofen will destroy your body, I'm at the point that I don't have to take much of anything else.

@dhatura thanks for the info. I’ll look into that.
