I am fasting for most of the day today and was looking to see if broth counted against me in the fast, but then I realized, its only 9 calories and no carbs, I should be ok. We are having a heavy dinner, so I wanted to keep my day pretty clean.
I ordered a shirt for my sisters wedding, I ordered it a few sizes smaller than I currently wear, in hopes that it will fit by the time her wedding rolls around. It was super cheap, so if it doesn't, there is no loss there, I will just have to find something else to wear.
This morning, as my sister was bringing my 3yr old nephew over for my husband to babysit, she stopped and got him a donut. She is also doing Keto, so she didnt get herself one. He gets all buckled back into his seat and opens his donut and takes a bite. He then proceeds to go "Mmm, good carbs" and says "Momma, I can eat carbs because I am a little boy, and you are too big to eat them, right?"
She calls me and tells me that she had to remind herself that he was 3 and she couldnt call him names and throw his donut out the window. HAHAHA Kids are crazy!! That little boy is so smart, and just so sarcastic sometimes. I love him to death.
He is one of the reasons that I am on this journey. My dad died when I was 6, he was 6'9" and over 500lbs. He was truck driver and died in PA and we lived in Ca. They didnt find him for a week, and by the time they did, there was no way to transport his body home for a real funeral. I remember seeing pictures of him on a table, no coffin, and wondering why he didnt want to come home. I want to live long enough to watch that little boy grow into a man. I dont want him to ever wonder why I didnt come home. I want to be there for his football games, his lead in a play, his first date, his whole life and I cant do that at over 400lbs. I will conquer my weight, it will no longer control me, and food will no longer have power over me.
This is my life, and I am taking it back!!
