KW1978's Journal, 12 January 2018

It's hard to believe that two weeks ago I could not stand up from a seated position without the aid of something to pull myself up on, and walking across the room required chairs to grab, the edge of the counter, or even a shopping cart for support at work. I could not stand longer than about 20 minutes before my legs felt as though they would collapse.
I have been dealing with increasing joint pain, muscle weakness and fatigue since last April. It started in my hand and shoulders, and this fall it moved into my knees and hips. The doctor I was seeing just kept offering anti inflammatory medicines. I just wanted to find the cause. Depression started to become an issue.
Walking for exercise stopped. My flower garden died because I couldn't take care of it. My house suffered because deep cleaning, even vacuuming was so painful.
On December 27th, I saw a new doctor who listened to me and ran a simple blood test. The result, I am severely vitamin D deficient. Now, after only 10 days of taking high doses of vitamin D, I can stand up unassisted, I can stand long enough to cook a proper meal and clean up after it, and I can walk without grabbing things for support. I still have some joint and muscle pain, but it is getting better. I feel happy and hopeful again.
I look forward to resuming walking for exercise and I am already planning what to plant in my garden. This picture is of the flowers I picked last June while taking an hour long walk around the neighborhood. I'm eager to go walking again.

I also was poisoned by Doctors, until I felt like I was very old and painful... Now on Keto, almost RX free! Yeah! Good for us!

It's quite unbelievable how a vitamin D deficiency can effect your health. I take 15000 ius a day.

I went thru some of the same things you did in 2011, no energy, depression, anxiety attacks and I had to also change Doctors & asking him to pleae find out my problem. After my blood test came back with low Vitamin D2, I take 50,000 units once a week. Like you, I was back to myself in a few weeks! Good Luck and I hope you get back to those Lovely Flowers soon. God Bless!

Interesting what vitamin levels will do. You can also take too much and create toxic situations.

And today, the sun was out. I walked around the block, well more like limped around the block since my right knee is still stiff and painful. But, I went around the block in the winter sunshine, and I felt good about it! :)
