Just getting prepared for my future weight loss endeavor. I mean, we are a couple days before Christmas but I am trying to eat better, even now, before I give up sugars and flours. Mostly.
I'm doing this because I have recently become clean and sober and I figure since I'm going that far, I might as well go all the way.
So step one....go to the doctors. Get blood work and ex-rays on my back.
Mammogram for recent lumps in breasts and pap.
Blood work results came back surprisingly well. I have arthritis in my back.
I'm making mammogram appointment and waiting for pap results.
I will update the results.

I haven't figured out what diet I am going to go on but this site says if I want to loose 1lb a week I should eat 2100 calories a day. 1 lb a week isn't enough too keep mme interested. At least at first. I need too get 20 lbs off then I will be able to deal with it slowly.

My goal is this.....By the end of 2018, I will weigh 175 lbs. and will complete a 5 k

I'm 550 days clean myself and giving up sugar has done wonders for my mood. The anxiety and depression is gone and I think that has helped me so much in my recovery. Stick with it and the results you will see are amazing! Good luck!

You can do it. It felt like a long way off when i started but I lost 60+ pounds this year. I plan on being 175 by May 2018.

Wow, Thank you everyone. I've been super busy since my last post and haven't been home to plan things the way I wanted by the new year but have put thought into what I'm eating. Apparently it's working because I got on the scale this morning for the first time and weighed 222.4lbs I originally thought I lost .6 lbs but when I logged on here I realized I weighed more than I thought. lol. I guess I've lost 6.6lbs. the last 17 days. That's motivating. Thanks again for all the responses. Oh, and Jitterbug23..Thats great! I'm 73 days into my good life.My positive attitude really helps.lol.
