So i quit using the flavored creamers for my coffee and started using splenda. Is there a better sweetener to use. I like splenda but just realized the carbs in it.

Perhaps experiment with extracts from the baking aisle, at your local grocery store? I put vanilla in mine.

You can get Erythritol on Amazon pretty inexpensively. Eryhritol is net 0 carbs and one of the best sweeteners you can get and not worry about. If you have to have flavored creamers. Look for Sugar free, some are extremely low in carbs. Some are 1g or less. I would not suggest "Medifast Mocha" as it's 7g+ of carbs / sugar.

There is also Quest Peanut Butter shake mix if your not looking for carbs!

I use Torani sugar free syrup in my coffee. There are a wide variety of flavors, but I always come back to vanilla.

(avoid artificial sweeteners altogether. They may be sugar-free, but they are harmful to your body for other reasons. Check it out via Google) Look into stevia plant extract, agave nectar, or simply Google "natural alternatives to sweetening coffee", then select one that fits within your low-carb diet. :-)

I use Splenda. I didn't think there was that many carbs in it? Also use the sugar free creamer and heavy cream. Both have helped me lose 25+ pounds. Gotta have my coffee.

Even sugar free sweeteners react the same as sugar once in your body. I promise you if I as a "do you want some coffee with your cream and sugar?" person for 20 years can cut all sweetener from my coffee, you can too. I only use heavy whipping cream and it is TERRIBLE for the first week, but I promise, if it's the coffee boost that's important to you, you will eventually not only get used to it, but prefer it.

You have to do what works for you. I'm highly allergic to Stevia and I don't use Agave nectar because the process by which it's made reduces it to a fructose syrup and if you google fructose and insulin resistance you'll see that there are many links between the two.

Get stevia if you aren't allergic! You can grow it in a pot.

Coffee for me is a big deal. I will not drink it if is is not the best. When Dave Aspry touted his Bulletproof Coffee, I jumped on board. Instead of his MCT oil, I just use the less expensive organic coconut oil. Every morning, I blend 16 oz of the best coffee I can find with two tablespoons of grass-fed butter, two teaspoons of organic coconut oil, and a few drops of stevia (because I can). I have had it without the stevia, which is fine, too. Artificial sweeteners will slowly kill you.

I started drinking my coffee black or with just half & half or heavy cream a long time ago. A sprinkle of cinnamon lends a slight sweetness & may help with blood sugars. I also really enjoy it bullet proof style!

Stevia is my sweetener of choice when I have the option - otherwise Splenda every once in a while . Stevia is so sweet that one small pack is all you need in a large cup of coffee!
