My sister had a wonderful experience with it and it worked for her. Not so much for me. Since it is free for a while, give it a try and see if it works for you.

Hey, if you've plateaued, nothing shakes up the metabolism like a new menu!

I did it many years ago, the program has changed so much it is unrecognizable to me. However the accountability of going to the meeting and weighing in was very helpful to me.

I lost and even 50 pounds my first year on Weight Watchers. I think it's a great program. It's the meetings that I need and they recharge me. As for counting and stuff.. I can do that anywhere..we have a TON of apps for that... but I need that weekly reinforcement with the meetings.... Some peopel don't... I'd say, certainly try it out since it's free.. but if it works would depend on if meetings help you....

I have tried WW twice in the past and as long as I logged everything it worked. However, it wasn't something I could make a life long commitment to. Since its free, have fun and give it a go.

I enjoyed the meeting and accountability part of it. The point system, not so much. Never really lost weight on it, but now they have a more low carb type plan, I think. Worth a shot. You can still do what you're doing and just use it as a buddy group.

I did WW maybe 18 years ago. Me and the wife as a pre-wedding thing and it worked for me and she ended up more frustrated. The meetings were good, the accountability was good. We spent about 6 months following that program. I knew very little about nutrition then, it wasn't something that they didn't talk a lot about. It was just about the points. I personally think the compliance factor came from the meeting and getting those silly gold & silver stars and the recognition for losing. Come to think of it, I don't know why we quit but we did and gained it back.
Work with what works for you; regardless of the name.

I went to WW 7-8 years ago. I truly believe it's a great plan but I couldn't wrap my head around it. I got sucked into all the " little desserts" and since I didn't control myself I got hooked on the sugary snacks they offer at shops/meetings. I blame myself for adding that fake sugar stuff but it's hell to get off it. I would recommend you stay with your own food.

I lost the 20 lbs I needed to lose when I was in my 30's, but I didn't do so good when I tried it again a few years ago. I'm glad you are going to give it a try. Good Luck
