LaShuan's Journal, 29 August 2009

Yesterday was a good day, I had a great work out and although I went over on my fat, sodium and calories, I managed to do about 15 minutes of exercise before bed and I swear I felt over heated all night, so much so that I was not surprised to see that I lost a little weight this morning. Has anyone ever experienced that...feeling excessively overheated at night? Its saturday and I usually dont exercise on the weekend but I am tempted to go for a walk outside this morning before it starts raining. Well, I hope I hold on to this weight loss!

I get hot at night, but mine is hot flashes! LOL! But I know what you mean - I think that's happened to me before, too. It's like somebody flipped your metabolism switch into overdrive for the night. Too bad we can't do that all the time! Sounds like you found a way to boost your motivation with a new challenge. I'll go check it out.

Yes, that is exactly what it feels like. I felt like I was exercising in my sleep.

I personally get very hot when I sleep. I like the room cold; so I usually have the air on or a fan directly on me. Thank you for the challenge invitation. I'm going to skip it this time because my schedule isn't set yet, with the kids still on summer vacation. I'm amazed that you've only been on this weight loss plan for 6 weeks. It's impressive how far you've come in such a short time. It shows me that it can be done, and in not that much time.

Thanks Debbra, I have actually been on a weight loss plan since May 18th. I started out with a personal trainer 2x a week for 3 weeks, then I have been on my own as far as exercising. I have also changed my eating habits since May 18th. It took me a while to start seeing weight loss....I think about 2 weeks before I even shed a pound, but once it started falling off, it went pretty fast. The last 2 week has been the slowest I have seen the weight fall off since I started. But I must admit I dont feel I am being as aggressive as I was when I first started.

I have had long stints of weight-loss in the past, which I wish I had just stuck to. I remember losing weight quickly and then waiting one, two, three weeks to lower my weight past a point. Very frustrating! Just keep going! Don't get discouraged. Also, I hear one can shake up the metabolism with different tricks, like tricking the body the way you are with the zigzag diet. The weight will come off if you keep at it!
