melissatwa's Journal, 01 October 2021

Every day this week I "started again" and every day I ended up not meeting my goals. After weeks of not having my normal routine, I'm not used to being disciplined about my eating. I feel awful and lacking any motivation. I know what I need... It always is the answers to get me on track. I need to weigh, measure, and record every bite. I need to faithfully weigh myself daily and report in here. A good week will help me turn it around. Two weeks will have my missing habits feeling "normal" again. So, for accountability, I'm telling you all so I will really work to get my rump in gear. I'll start recording now but will weigh in on Monday. I worked out at the gym once since getting home a week ago. I'd like to make sure I get in three times this week. Back to working my WOE and feeling better!

You made the plan and now to execute! You got this, and even if you don't meet your daily goals, you keep starting over. At least you didn't " throw in the towel." I know how dedicated you are to have a healthy lifestyle so I know you will get this going soon. Sometimes when I gain a few, it takes me at least 3 days to get back on track..💜👍💜👍

Your doing great! What a fun trip. Been wanting to to get to Rheinsburg,GER. Fun and beautiful places in Germany. Consistent meals you have used to be tried and true to your weight loss journey and prep ahead maybe to keep ya from grabbing other stuff or skipping meals. You have come so far. I am stuck at self sabotage stage when I get to just 5lbs away. Now back to 15lbs away.. but same thing go to my low cal high protein likes and get back to a fitness routine that doesn’t over do it or short myself on effort. Good luck!!

I feel ya...it's hard to get back to a normal routine when you've been away from it. Even a few days or a week can throw you off. Your month away started to feel like your new routine....now you have to adjust that thinking. Past experience has proven when you settle into your good habits you're successful. Over here in the cheering section...rooting you on 😀❤🎉👏🥳

You just got back from a trip of a lifetime. You may have what some call vacation blues. You'll get back to your mental routine soon enough. It will just click.

I am new here ... and at this time I am very needy for the group support and contact and feedback ... from my point of view --- if you keep coming back to the group - that is a success .... regardless if that arrow goes up or goes down. Keep coming back...come back more often.

We all have start backs. I do almost every time. We can do it together!

Spoken like a maintenance veteran. I'll be watching your posts this week as your voluntary accountability buddy. In the words of someone else I respect, "grind time, let's go!"

You guys are just priceless! What a fantastic gang of folks you are to cheer me on. This is why I can never leave... I'm simply not strong enough alone, and I am beyond thankful for friends old and new who understand this isnt a little fight to win but a lifelong battle to overcome. Just knowing you were cheering for me today made it easy to pass up some delicious looking treats at work... Not because I can't have them but because I need some discipline at the moment in particular. I do know what works for me... So long as I put in the work! 😁

And, yes, I know I'm feeling a bit down from having the trip I dreamed about for years now complete. Returning to so much stress and work and worry isn't fun. But, I know being in control of my way of eating and getting the exercise routine back will only help me. 😊 The temporary soothing feeling that comes from overeating is so very temporary... The annoying consequences of said overeating linger on and make me miserable. Thank you again so much for your encouragement and support. "grind time"
