Ok random question - but is that picture the vegan place across the street from the pizza place? I forget what it’s called but I loved the cocktails and appetizers there!

No, this is brand new open Fall Brewing Tasting Room across from Matteo where we should have gotten food but didn't. The vegan place is called Kindred and totally rocks across fro Buona Forchetta which is my absolute favorite and which I am now contemplating for dinner except that I think I invited people over tomorrow night.

It is called "Golden Rhino" for now. I don't have backstory yet, but I went to concerts from three of the bands on the wallpaper in the bathroom.

I just realized it’s probably not. Kindred and Buona Forchetta in South Park was place I was thinking of.

Ha! You were posting same time as I was remembering Kindred name! That’s awesome you knew exactly where I was describing ( of course, you would!).

You are never gonna believe this but I was Kindred for cocktails and Forchetta for dinner on July 4, 2018. Followed by watching fireworks from the flight deck of the USS Midway.

you have passed within a half mile of my orbit. my iPhone says we went to watch fireworks at the golf course that year. was that the year Tom Selleck was the host? 2012 was the year it was foggy and they all went off at once. The only year we literally cancelled the party day of.

it was fun, I liked it. I took a friend and had missed all of 2020 with her, so I bought all the rounds and then some followed by some animated discussion with a total stranger. good times, good times. and I really do have people coming over tomorrow night!?!?! back to normal and then some, I guess. really gotta get the deck fixed. we'll do fine on the other side this year.

I don't remember who the host was. Just that the fireworks were amazing and earlier that week I had met the first African-American aircraft carrier commander, Rear Admiral Lawrence Chambers , who had commanded the USS Midway during Vietnam. A real American hero who chose to save the life of a family instead of machinery. It was a quite the honor to hear him speak about his decisions as captain. And his wife sat with us during the fireworks pre-show and she was a real firecracker herself! Such a great week to learn history of the Cold War, particularly Korean and Vietnam wars.

That’s so funny Katsolo!!!😁 I’d be really be scared to sit there! I have been on the Midway a lot, as I am a plane nut and have a love for anything military. Maybe, too I liked to seeing how our boys lived. You were lucky Gib to have such a wonderful experience, wow!⭐️ Wars are so horrific unbelievably traumatic - our boys come back so messed up for what they’ve seen and gone through.☹️ I love reading books by the soldier himself of what he experienced as he went to war. We live in a dome of safety, the hell they experienced, we’ll never understand. We need to be very good to our veterans!!! Have a Stupendous 4th of July Sunday!!👍💥⭐️
