What a nice morning! I'm listening to the birds right now and was looking for the bird book to try to identify a really big bird eating with the little gold finches.

Love your description. So nice. I'm watching my birds out on the deck. Crazy antics to get the feed. The present feeder is for small birds but the big birds find a way. Mr. Squirrel will come and work very hard to get every last seed. My set up is so I can watch from my recliner snug inside.

We have a bird feeder outside our kitchen window. We love watching cardinals and other birds visit it.

Shirfleur are you in Texas. Sounds like our weather. But it is still damp from early morning showers.

Ann and Lady, I am in Houston, have been for about 30 years, but my roots are in Louisiana, as I am an old Cajun. Ann, are you in New Orleans? One of my favorite cities in the whole wide world!

I live on a lake in north Texas and we have a bird sanctuary in our backyard. I LOVE watching and listening to all the birds in the morning! Lots of chickadees, blue jays and cardinals. Trying to get some mockingbirds our way, but maybe we’re too for north. Nothing better in the morning than watching these little guys!

I am in NW Ohio and we have LOTS of house finches and goldfinches here at my house. We have feeders hanging off the front of our house. Also we have a pair of Blue Jays and 1 White-breasted Nuthatch with an occaisional Downy Woodpecker!

We have a lot of birds where we live in North Ga. cause we're in a wooded neighborhood. I don't always get to see them up close cause we don't hang regular feeders due to black bears also roaming in our neighborhood. I do have several hummingbird feeders for the warm weather months. We put out peanuts in the shell on our deck each morning that attract titmice, blue jays and squirrels. We do see the odd curious
wren, cardinal or crow (they eat nuts that get pushed off the rail to the ground below.) We have a birdhouse in the corner so see the wrens raise a family each Spring.
