GOOOOD MORNIN EVERYONE !!!!!...wakin up to either rain or ice outside this morning so not sure if there will be a morning walk outside or not, but i have decided if i cant get it outside, then i will do them inside..ended up with 29,389 steps yesterday...or..13.5 miles...my all time high of gettin steps in...so ...by takin 2 days off im sure thats what helped me get all the steps in...and yes it was a struggle to stay awake till 8 last night...lol...but once i did lay down..that was it...dont even remember my head hittin the pillow...so todays plan is to do the same again...shoot for 29,000 steps...challenge my body to get in just as many and a few more...to keep challenging my body each and every day..i kno it can do it from all the walking and all the workouts ive gave it over the months...just a matter of pushing it...just last summer my high in steps was around 16-18,000 steps...so just goes to show each day is a new day of challenging the body and adding on to keep that body guessing as to what is in stored for it the next day..and by challenging your body you build muscle to replace the flab and the weight goes down...yes i weighed again this morning...and if i continue to watch my salt and everything else i will have a loss to report tomow..just need to stay focused an watch everything i my hand puts in my mouth...that in its self is a daily challenge..thats why i use my food menu so i can track it and what i see in front of me when i do it early in the morning shows me how well im stayin on track...well need to go an see how slick the sidewalks are..lol..hopefully i will get my walk in before it gets to bad outside...and who knows..mabye we wont get any of it...thats ok to...lol...catch you all later...have a great one!!!...btw...i tried something different yesterday instead of waitin till supper time to make my salad, and possibly changin my menu by that time..i fixed my salad after my lunch an then covered it an put it in fridge...making it up ahead kept me on track, and i didnt want something else that might of been worse or add anything that i didnt already have on my menu...something that as the day gets closer to the end of the day for me, sometimes its easier to nuke something then to make a salad...i seem to do better if i have my food made up ahead, then to have to stand there an think about it...and make unwise faster food instead of healthier food...

grrrrrrrrrr!!!...just came in from outside...its a mix between rain an freezin rain..suv is covered ...i did layer up an go outside to check the drive..didnt seem that slick but as i said the suvs windows are covered ...so no morning walk outside...have to get them inside today..not as much fun...but still steps...

addon...if you have a pedometer...use it..put it on soon as you get outta bed..wear it all day..its a great motivator to try an beat the steps the day before...if you dont have a pedometer, i would suggest buying one...mine came from walmart...had to order it online...came to the store...i use an omron hj-112...and its a great pedometer...not had any problems with it...

Morning, twin! That's a fantastic step count for yesterday! Sorry the weather isn't cooperating this morning. It's just rain here for now, but it's supposed to change to sleet later in the day. I love my Omron HJ-112, too! Have a great day!

Goooooooooooood Morning! Even with the ice! There is no ice over here! That's a groovy idea about the pedometer! I used a pedometer for the first time this week. I don't think it counts steps. It counts miles. I doubt that I walk too many "miles" at work but if I know it is in my pocket - maybe I will make an effort to take the long way around, take the stairs, and walk a few minutes during lunch. I may walk around the classroom instead of sitting at my desk. Thanks for the tip!

I was just about to ask you whether you have a pedometer, and then you gave that final info. Thanks! I'm going to look into it. How do you get in so many steps without a walk? Do you have a treadmill? And also, great job on the pre-preparing of the salad! I wish I had that discipline!

i did an afternoon walk inside 50 min..did 50 min on elliptical this morning...and did 60 min on recumbant bike at the gym this morning...an i also keep track of my steps on www.walktracker.com...and over there someone that has a website with different references tellin how many steps you get from different exercises said that 212 steps on a bike is equal to one min...so thats how i came up with all the steps...
