Cindy Thompson's Journal, 10 November 2010

I was walking yesterday in the park. However, I wanted to walk farther, so, I took off walking from a location farther away than the park. My son-in-law was driving by when he said, "Hey, sexy Mamacita." (sp) I don't know how appropriate that was coming from him. I felt encouraged though and took it the right way.

That is precious! Compliments like that mean SO much! (And I'm bilingual & a preacher's wife and I declare his remark ADORABLE!!) Stay encouraged, friend! You are doing awesome! My fav place to walk is the park, too. Isn't it gorgeous this time of year? Isn't it a great feeling when your energy is up, and you've come to feel stronger and you begin to push yourself "a little farther". I find that I recall the scriptures in the Gospels when Jesus "went a little farther" when I choose to walk more, do more, and be more for my health and His glory. "He went a little farther" is a great verse study to do. HONK HONK!

Now I know what everyone is doing. Evie you are so precious. Honk, Honk. I love the comment about Jesus walking farther too. Wow! You are a pastor's wife. That's awesome.

LOL! Well, honey, I'm not sure how "awesome" it is being the wifey of a pastor. It's like being married to a mail man - except in my case, I am married to God's "messenger boy"...and with that comes outside stressors that folks have no clue about because not "everyone" likes all of "God's messages" He wills to get across to His people. LOL Honk Honk!!

Cindy, I was walking up the lane the other evening, and my son drove up and said, "Wow, mom, I didn't even recognize you...you look awesome!" It is so awesome when someone that is close to you, and that you really care about, takes the time to let you know that they noticed and appreaciate the effort you are putting into getting healthy, isn't it? Evie, that is an awesome study, on that we have done at our little church. Honk, honnnnk!

How sweet! That must have felt wonderful! I noticed someone commented that it's nice to have family that builds you up rather than tears you down, and that could not be more accurate! Mine started out being kinda biatch-y but toned it down after a facebook post and my neices and nephews setting the parents straight! hehehehehe.... subtle manipulation.. gotta love it.

What a nice son-in-law. You must be on top of the world over that one. You keep up the great work and pretty soon they will be saying I didn't recognize you, not I ALMOST didn't recognize you. That day will come for you and sooner than you realize. Have a great day.:)
