Logging my foods. Logging my weight. **** I am accountable ****

I own it.

I was all done with my intended calories for the day and then I was asked to go and pickup Chinese food for everyone else. Needless to say, I let the fatty out and the rest is history.

I didn't pig out, I just went over my calories for the day by a big amount.

Words are very powerful and I am not a pig and I do not pig out. I either over eat or I under eat. I am not fat, I am carrying around excess fat.

I will double down and get my calories to average 1500 daily within the remaining 23 days of the month.

I got a plan.

I got this! ((Fingers crossed or I will have to get the stapler from my mouth))

Logging my foods. Logging my weight. **** I am accountable ****

Ches you are doing great, I think deep down most of us know what to do. In my case formula is simple 1300-1000 calories a day flex. But knowing and me doing are 2 different things. I know myYself I am continuing on working on it and constantly revising my plans. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!! :)

I think you are doing good 👍🏾 Don't Quit!

Thanks adefwebserver. No quitting for me. I've logged and planned a few meals and fasts over next 5 days and I like what that data reveals in the monthly view.

As I've said before - I view weight management like baseball - it's all about the long term statistics. You can go 0-4 some days and go 4-0 other days. But what matters is that you were pretty good more days than not and you keep the really crappy days to a minimum. Yesterday it sounds like you struck out in the bottom of the 9th. Today is a new day. (And Chinese food is a weakness for me too. Man I love egg rolls and egg foo young, and pork fried rice, etc...) Go Fight Win!

Ches, yesterday is just one day. Problems occur when we string several bad days in a row. Don't eat to up to goal for a couple of days. You will be fine and yes, you are accountable...

chesgreen, you are so right about the words we use to speak to ourselves being important. Your observation of not *being* fat (but rather having fat) is just as true as me not *being* curly hair (but I have curly hair). We can get rid of fat just like we can get rid of hair (although the latter more easily). But we should not identify ourselves by our fat or our hair. We must manage both. Some days, despite our best intentions and efforts, we still end up with bad hair days, just like we end up with bad fat management days. On those days, we must tell ourselves, "Good effort today. Tomorrow is a new day. You can do it!"
