Draglist's Journal, 21 March 2020

Woke and did two sets of pushups, squats, and dumbbell pulls. Weighed in after that at 219.6, down 2.0 from yesterday. Went to the local farmer and got some meat, eggs, and local honey (for Denise). We are well stocked up and ready. We are going to support our local Brazilian steakhouse guy by going down and getting some curbside food from his other restaurant today. As much time as I spend at happy hours and dinners down in DC, I know those poor folks are getting killed by this virus. UPDATE: Weighed before eating my great takeout dinner and was surprised to get down to 219.4 despite the large omelet this morning. Win! This alternate day/36 hour fasting is working out great. I get to eat a lot on one day and then I'm not hungry at all on the second day as I'm not triggering my hunger by eating anything.

We are doing the same but by purchasing gift certificates. Not only for ourselves but as future holiday gift exchanges. That is the rally we have started..it puts cash in their bank accounts. They can use it now to pay rent, mortgage, salaries - at no wholesale food cost.

Gift certificates are a great idea! I'll pass that on to people I know who do eat out a lot. Obviously, I'm not one of them now 😉

Nice work out Bill! I did buy two extra 18 count cartons of eggs last time at grocery store. Eggs are so versatile.
