I did it! I entered a tourney with hubby last night! As you all know, it's been months since I've broken down and given in to entering another tourney with hubby! It was sort of an accident, the way it all unfolded. They needed a few more people to have enough money for the winnings, and I was just so darned happy that it was MY FRIDAY, that I figured what the heck!
I'm glad things turned out the way they did, though! I have not bowled competetively in about 6 months, because I'm having a timing issue...yada yada yada. You might not remember that lil' detail, but that was the reason for flipping off the pins and walking out the door that one day! LOL and everybody knows, DON'T PISS OFF ANDEE! heheehee!!
It was pretty fun! I had one great game, and the rest were my average, at least! A respectable outcome!! I couldn't expect better results when I'm not/nor have I been, into great mental shape for the game! I actually beat my husband 4 of the 6 games! LOL I could tell he was glaring at me out of the corner of his eye (that's our lil' game of personal competition amongst each other during a tourney).
Neither of us won, or even came close to the top 5, but the personal victory for me was more than enough! AT least I got my butt out there and competed! Some of my friends were there and I got so many hugs and "welcome backs"!! I don't know if this is the beginning of a "welcome back" thing, but it's definitely a start!
Maybe it'll get my hubby off my back now! It seems like once a week he's nudging me to get back into the practice ring with him! hmmmm....i'm thinking....

love bowling-- i am one of those wierdos that actuall LIKES watching bowling on the tv.i was like that as a kid even. Now i'm so old i enjoy watching golf on the set. man- what happened to me?

I you kidding?!? I usta bowl sooooo much as a kid- as i got older i wouldn't go unless i had MY ball and shoes, man i was(am)such a snob. it's been YEARS and i STILL want my own ball and shoes,( you don't know if the last people who used those shoes stepped on a wet spot in the bathroom just before handing them it!!! and there you go- right on your face down the lane. running around looking for a full ash try---just silly!!

when i was younger i use to be on a league to...use to enjoy it...gettin out with other people, and the challange of gettin them dang pins down with a ball...lol..i always thought about how much easier it would be to throw 2 balls same time..get more pin action...lol...mabye its time for you to get bck into the game again...and show em BADANDEE IS ready to kick some butt!!!!!
