Wifey - thank you. Yes, there are times when it's a nice relaxing way to be creative. Other times .. like when I sew something on backward or get too frustrated - that's when I head back to the paint studio.

Wow! Absolutely beautiful work! I love the colors and all the care demonstrated! I sewed all through my teens and young adult years... Because I needed clothes not because I liked it. After sewing my "going away" dress for my wedding day, I was soooo done. My new hubby told me I never had to sew again! I didn't for many, many years. Then my grandma passed and I got her machine. I can enjoy making some little things from time to time! You are inspiring me to. Make something fun!

That is great. I like to make bags, but mine are much simpler. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful work Bella! And I love your fabrics. I love to sew, but I haven't done much sewing in a while, partly because it was so difficult for me to get around, being so big. I may have to dig through my fabric stash to see what might inspire me (besides you; you have inspired me). 😉

It's a process to learn to sew good. Your bags look nice! I learned in 7th grade and sewed most of my clothes for years. I was pretty good,I even made a suit. Sadly, I got tired of the mess I always made while seeing so I put my machine away and never took it out again. That was about 5 years ago. I never could quilt though cuz I can't cut a straight line..lol.

growing up my mom sewed all my clothes. they were always something the community found as my hand my downs a valued possession. I sewed many of my own clothes for many years and was proud in wearing those hand made items. I also have been sewing for many years... but have also done quilting and hand made items over the years. you should be proud in being a seamstress and sharing that gift with others. I have a closet of fabric and ideas just waiting to be unleashed !

Thank you all so much, everyone. Every thing I have sewn is from YouTube video tutorials - I listed the names / sites in my next journal. I am flattered by your kind comment. I will add that in IRL (up close, not photo edited like my food photos) the young woman at the check in desk of the hotel saw the bag on the counter and said 'OMG.. where did you get that bag?!?' and when I said I made it for B's bd she asked if I sold them. So there's that. And no, I just don't see myself selling them. I am very relaxed sewing when I am just sewing. THESE, knowing they were a PLAN and had a deadline .. were a bit stressful. If I knew someone was PAYING I'd be a complete wreck worried about quality (I call myself Queen of the Crooked Stitch). A friend paid me once to make a gift for her friend and I hated it the whole time and said 'never again'. I know, never say never. And I have sold art if people beg and throw money at me. But thank you again.
