So I spent almost 2 hours in the gym this morning. I did bench and squats. I feel so weak doing bench press. I’m afraid to go over 65# 😥 Which sucks because before my break I could bench 80#! My squats feel good though. Except I noticed today that I’m not hitting depth 🤯😩🥺 I was always so focused on keeping my gaze in the same spot I never checked. I don’t know what I’m going to do about it. Probably start from the beginning (drop the weights) and go “ass to grass” Very disappointing 😒 I can feel my form is good but I’m not going low enough. I watch ppl squat all the time 😅 I don’t ever see anyone go that low except for 1 girl. She’s probably 120# and squats 95# with a booty band around her thighs!! #beastmode
In other news I saw my sister at Walmart a little while ago and she looks amazing! She went from 215 to 180! I’m so so happy for her!! I was a lill hurt when she told me she was on keto a month ago. She had been doing it for about 3 months. I could have helped her but I understand. She was nervous. She didn’t know if she could do it so she didn’t tell anyone she was dieting. She still has a ways to go but she’s on track. Now if only we could persuade my youngest sister to try it 🤣🤣🤣 but she’s vegan 🙃 She’s also Very over weight. Probably 225 (5’3).

"ass to the grass" - 😄😜😁 I wish some of my loved ones would ask me for advice on losing weight. Most who ask me what did I do, are already very fit. 😐 You're doing great and you know form is important. 👍😊

Are you using a BB or machine for the Squats? If a BB & they have a bench you can place behind you, use it to work on form (squat and touch with your glutes) & the weight amounts will follow.

Thanks Nikeit 😁 Im gonna keep trying. Becca I have a lot of over weight family members and none of them believe how I lost weight or just think it’s ridiculous (which is funny considering the 50+ pounds I lost and have kept off 🤷‍♀️)

This is my problem, when I gained all the weight I didn't see it and so thought I was still a size 6. I don't know how many times I went clothing shopping and would buy small and mediums only to return them or give away. after a couple years of that I finally started buying xxl xl clothes.

Being big most of my life I’m hyper aware of my “space” I still find myself thinking there isn’t enough room for me to pass by or sit down only to find out I was just being crazy. It’s just a natural reaction that can go either way 😁 I had skinny friends that would bump into stuff constantly while being pregnant but I couldn’t relate I was always too big 😅

That’s great that she is losing weight 😊😊 if you can get the other on board that would be awesome 👏. She might just start on her own seeing her sisters 💜💚 I know when I started losing on here, I got extra excited seeking advice from my super healthy PA and Dr. girlfriends at work 🤗🤗 they were more than helpful and we would do chair yoga. We order healthy together. They cannot even with my weight loss lol. They asked me about counting macros....😳😳👀👀🤭🤭😌😌😌 talk about being surprised!! They do the gym together with cycling classes and eat healthy but didn’t seem to understand the macros. It’s awesome to share something back with my girlfriends who are my fitness goals lol. So I see where you’re surprised she didn’t mention it to you Dawnie. Maybe she is afraid she will fail. You can talk fitness together now though 😃

Jcmama that is great! It so much fun to be able to share health goals with friends. It does surprise me how lost some people are on calorie and macro counting. I remember a time when (back in the early 90s) I had to use books to get lists of calories for foods! It’s so easy now!! That is my youngest sister’s problem (the Vegan) She doesn’t know what she’s eating. So she doesn’t know how much she should be eating. I’ve shown her the app but it’s too daunting for her. I feel bad for her because she is going to continue to suffer if she won’t commit to changing her bad habits 🥺

Dawnie, I never new a thing about macros, deficit, all the different WOES until I came here!! It’s crazy. You totally can over eat even being vegan. I’m not going to lie it shocks me a little but calories add up girl. That’s the other thing, I had no idea how many calories were in food period. It’s amazing. I hope she follows suit friend 💜💚

Girl! I was the same! Delia’s week then came back and all my bench work was low. I used the bar for warm ups then added 5# each (total of 55#). I’d been doing 65 normally and 75 on good days. Incline and military were low as well. This week has to be a reload week too or machines cause hubby’s gone so I’m on my own. Next weeks gonna be worse I fear.

Jcmama calories hide everywhere!! Sometimes the calorie count on some foods just shocks me! I’ve been dieting for awhile 😆 and I still continue to learn new things. Peeperjj don’t skip just cuz hubby doesn’t go!!! Or is he the only spotter? Hopefully you’ll be able to at least maintain the 55 pounds. Rosio that is very true! You do have to accept yourself for you before you can commit to change. Thanks Lzenn! I am so happy for her! She has 3 lill kids that need her to be happy and healthy!

I forgot my phone at work today and was without it most of the day!!! 😫😫 Scariest thing is I couldn’t log my calories. I didn’t know where I was at and was so terrified I was going to go way over that I went under and maintained some amount of control 😁😁 I still ate a mad amount of sweets 😫 but stayed under calories
