Going to the gym for the first time tomorrow. I'm anxious. Almost 'sick to my stomach' nervous to be honest. Part of me hopes it's empty so no one will look at me, but part of me also wants to meet people.

Either way, I'm going. I've already paid for the next 30 days, and if there's one thing I hate it's waste. Wish me luck!

Mika, one thing about the gym is most people are so focused on their workout they don't even notice you. You may actually feel invisible. Good for you for being so strong! 🌈🌈🌈

Yes, the gym can be daunting. That said, it can be a key component to successful weight reduction. Sending healthful energy your direction for a good experience!

I am with Florida Angel: Just show up and you will be a winner. Your initial goal may just be getting used to the place and perhaps using the treadmill for a while. Besides, nobody will pay much attention to you, as Shirfleur said.

Rosio did you do some research or talk to a trainer, or did you just go by what this one person said? There are often differing opinions on these sorts of things, and you don't sound as though you're very happy about making the change.
