So very true, I still often think of myself in terms of the way I used to be. I have a difficult time identifying with that woman in the mirror.

When you look at that women in the mirror you should see someone who is clearly at a healthier weight, who can maybe do more things than they could before and who has a much better shot at living long enough to see your kids grown and with kids of their own. You should also see someone who has worked very hard to get to where they are. That is something to be really proud of. There are quite a few of you who are really doing so well. Don’t focus on that word “skinny” . There are some deep pitfalls to being so tied to the scale and the mirror. Focus on the positive ways that this smaller body has added to your live.

Shirlfleur1– you and I are in the same age group. Welcome on board. You can do this too. In order to become healthier or maintain your health. Stick with whatever program you have decided on and just keep plugging away at. Good luck.
