48 hours is very good for autophagy. Remember to maintain healthy habits through all of this! Nutrients are critical regardless of your calories.

I do a tbsp of creamer, so 27 calories . I have this cool app called fatsecret that counts for me :)

I have only gone 40 hours without food and it felt pretty good. When you break the fast try bone broth or coconut milk first to warm up your digestive enzymes.

If I have enough body fat I can go until my body fat is depleted (how much 'body fat' do you have??). In my experience only electrolytes really matter. For me, I MUST take an 'electrolyte concentrate' multiple times during the day. JUST drinking water will not cut it for me, I WILL start to experience dehydration. Otherwise, I have been able to drop up to 3 lbs a week. After 6 months of fasting, and keeping the weight off, I can say that fasting worked for me.

Fasting seems to have many benefits for a lot of people (I’m not one of them lol). I would recommend taking vitamins to make sure you get the nutrients your body requires to stay healthy 😉.

I hope fasting works for you. If I fast its always followed up by a binge. And while I'm fasting I have a shit attitude. lol I'm a hangry kinda girl for sure!

@Cody Rachel - For me fasting is 99% 'mental'. 1) I have to want to fast. 2) I have to accept, in my mind, not eating BEFORE I actually stop eating. 3) I set the 'ending time' before I start. 4) I ALWAYS start in the morning.

Taking vitamins for nutrients would defeat the purpose.
Fasting actually puts me in a great mood, and i always have more energy.
I too, cannot have just water. Did that once, made it to about 34 hours and felt REALLY sick. I do coffee, salt water, and water.

Haha yeah he's cut... I don't eat or drink anything besides black coffee, water, and salt water/acv also. I do 16/8 most of the week it's easy to me. I'll mix water, lime juice, Himalayan salt, cream of tartar, and acv together. It helps get me through when I don't have some good coffee ☕
