looks great you should test it and see if it raises your blood sugar too. I have an idea to go along with your omad

If it raises your BS it should come back down really quickly.

Jenjabba, I read that you have lupus. As a person who also has several autoimmune diseases, just wanted to know if you have checked out the foods you should be eating for lupus. If you don't have this autoimmune disease, then nevermind. ❤️

Adefeebserver reading after 1 hour 88, reading after 2 hours 99 , and I took the dog for a walk.

Erqui ya, I've eliminated almost everything

@jenjabba - If your blood sugar is not less than 99 after 4 hours and you have not eaten or drank any carbs, it is something that I personally have never experienced.

Adefwebserver, good to know. I was going to jump on the elliptical, but I'm going to give it 2 more hours just to test! Now I'm looking into a continuous monitor haha, just to hack myself. I've been watching a friend of mine use it and it's fascinating.

@JessRThorn - Yes that could be the case. But, what ever the cause we are looking for it to fall after eating. When it stays high I have found weight loss to be elusive.

Adefwebserver YES YES YES! Maybe that's part of my problem and I'll just have to get on the elliptical to get that reading down after any meal, and I might have been walking around with blood glucose in the 100s for days, weeks, years. Uhh. Well, nice new hack to play around with.

Jessrthorn, how the hell is 10 minutes of cardio causing metabolic damage
24 Sep 18 by member: jenjabba
You might be doing some damage with 69g fat in tea. I'll always be pro keto but that's too much.

okay before you freak out about the 106 readings I just remembered something. Bears reading always leveled out at 100. He was 50 years at the carnivore. Something about the keto adaption process the body levels out and works at ultimate level which may be different for each person. I do think it is a good thing to monitor and see how your body works at ultimate level, but remember you are unique and on a unique eating plan and your glucose may be higher or lower then someone eating a carb diet. I know a lot of carnivores don't measure their glucose levels, but this may be the norm range.

this is something I found on carnivore search for blood glucose. many do have higher glucose readings. Esmée La Fleur This is why BG by itself is not always the best measure of what it happening. Insulin levels are far more telling. The a1c test is also helpful because it will tell you if your slightly elevated fasting BG is really a problem. A meter that tests BG and ketones can be a good tool as well because then you can determine your BG/Ketone ratio. If your ratio is below 5, then you are doing great. So, for example, you can have a fasting BG if 110 (6.1) and ketones of 1.5 (nutritional ketosis) which will give you a ratio of 4.0 (6.1 divided by 1.5).

All I can say is that I spent 6 years on this site not losing much weight. If I didn't start doing something different I would still be obese :)

JessRThorn what works for you works for for. I've done more research than most. And they are showing you can over eat fat. I'm glad your exited about your study but I know best for my body and have fine tuned it thank you with the help of a leading keto doc , I'll stick to his advice.

Baskington. You need to listen to the ketobiohacking podcasts. They do great experimented , one guy is take insulin resistant the other is not. Just shows how two bodies are completely different. You'll love them. It's shed some light on what I can do. The best tool one of them suggested was the continuous glucose monitor, which they never had till recently. I'm not at 106 all day every day. You missed that. No way is that ok. It went to 80 before my one meal, dinner .

Glad to hear that your BS went back down :)

okay I did miss that on where you knew your normal fasting glucose. I do agree with you that your omad waiting until your level goes down to eat may be the best for you. we are all very different on our needs. all this talk about blood glucose levels got my brain going and I am going to post on my thread something I think I figured out on me.

I have found that OMAD (One Meal A Day) provides better weight maintenance even if I eat the same thing as other days. I never tried it for weight loss (once I start eating I always 'binge'), but I suspect it is good for that too.
