I tried some canned beets in a smoothie; Delish rather like strawberries and such a pretty pink.

Like much of the past year events thwart my intentions. Over the weekend my ice maker on my new frig quit, the main drain for my house started backing up a bit so need to get it routed out before I can't use the water, figured out the broken part on my washing machine, chicken waterer sprung a leak and the sinus surgery has resulted in an infection. Have the ice maker repair scheduled, my plumber decided to retire so have to find someone new, the part is ordered, the doc called in amoxicillin, and the chicks have a new waterer.

After work my evenings have been a bit busier than I was planning on. ;) Monday night on the phone and last night not home until 6:30 as had to go here and there to get things done.

No gym though I want to get there. Give the meds a day or so to go to work and get things fixed. Working on eating well with lots of veggies and adding some extra egg protein as protein helps heal, plus my chicks are laying well so fresh eggs.

I'd love to have some hens. Love those beautiful fresh eggs. Take a picture when you get a chance. Hope you feel better and no more broken things to fix.

It surely seems as "Murphy" you know of Murphy's law fame, visited you. Hopefully no re-visit is planned. I love beets in any shape or form but have not tried in a smoothie yet bit will try that.

Yikes! That is a lot of stress and you sound like you are coping well. Way to go!

Sorry for all your woes! I love your name "title" as I am doing very well at trying to be full on plant based myself. My best day is when I roast a bunch of veggies for the day. And I also like the smoothies very well. Going out to eat can be hard but they usually serve veggies if you want to stick with it! Veg on!

Thanks all for your support. Just frustrating because thins get in the way of what I want to be doing. Hope the antibiotics kick in quick as I want some energy back. Check one thing of the list at a time I guess and try not too get stressed. Life is sometimes what gets tossed your way. Luckily nothing major. Finally found a small company to clean out my drain, they will be here tomorrow. YAY! that means I'm taking a short break rom moving things in the garage and the basement so they can get equipment through down to the 2 inlets to the drain. Hoping next year I can afford to have the old clay pipes from the house out to the sewer replaced (tree roots have broken through). Getting some exercise in :). Rannanmc, thanks. I'm not a vegetarian but don't eat much meat most o the time. I love roasted veggies and often make a big pan so I can eat them or several days, especially since I take my lunch to work. SM, sorry to hear you are having crazy issues also. Back to my clearing things out of the way chore.

Hope your sinus infection soon clears. I've always found steaming clears mine the quickest.

Dobrie, Nice that works for you. This is a post surgery thing, doing that disgusting "neti pot" as told me to do by the doc a couple times a day. UGG. Heading for the gym tomorrow after work and after a workout the steam room that has eucalyptus added so hoping it will also help. After 2 days on meds I think it's better. Interesting watching a NetFlick video "Magic Pill". It is interesting and may fit many. I tried Keto and can't do it but many of you can.

Sorry about the backlash with the sinus surgery - get well!

I had a doctor who admitted to me that using a Neti pot was like getting water boarded! I anout died laughing! I told him that’s why I switched to the sqeeze bottles that they put out that you can control the pressure on. It’s not quite as much of a flood situation. LOL 🤦🏻‍♀️I end up having to use it about every two weeks or so. I just can’t deal with the pot. 🙋🏻

SM, it's more squeeze bottle thingy. Still makes me gag. I really get the water boarded comparison. I have been trying to do it twice a day. They told me to do it 5 or 6 times which means at work...... No way as I end up soaked. I think it may help as more gunk comes out after a bit. It's a nasty thing, MHO. Major sinus headache today, hoping it clears up overnight. I so wanted to go to the gym after work but hurt too much. Hoping the drugs kick in soon.

I understand! LOL 😝 I have to use their Naso Grl everyday, sometimes multiple times a day since they repaired the hole in my nasal septum. And I have to do the irrigation with the bottle. Ugh! 🙇🏻‍♀️Always thought my Mom was strange when she did stuff like this. Now I understand just what you will do in order to breathe clearly. I will be facing full septum surgery on my nose when they try to stretch and repair all of it later this Summer. So I will probably get very used to this again! LOL 🙋🏻

OH MY SM, that sounds like a challenging surgery.. Mine is doing better today though yesterday was not good, major sinus headache I think it is finally clearing up. UGG I hate that nasal wash thing. The doc is suggesting it daily forever to wash allergens away -- probably NOT something I will be doing. He seems to love the thing.

I’d probably be a brat and tell him to do it everyday for 6 months and then we could talk LOL 😂 same thing I told my MALE doctor after he lectured me to have my last mammogram! LOL Told him when he got his, we could talk, since men got breast cancer too! But until then, he could deal with MY timeline! He was really quiet after that! LOL 😆 Surprise. 🙋🏻

LOL love your comments!!!!!!!!!!!!! My primary doc is female and is the same age as one of my daughters I never remember which one. She is awesome!! I do need to go get my mammogram as overdue. I don't trust them totally as my best friend died because the mammo didn't pic up the CA and her male doc wouldn't follow up when she told him she had a lump just outside of the area the mammos pick up. By the time she had treatment with her fighting to get treatment it was too late and had spread to her lymph nodes.
