Do you know that correct posture is not only 80% of youngish look, but also prevents pain and injury?

With age our shoulders naturally sag, the back muscles stretch and the chest muscles shortens making us to slump.

My exercise of choice is Nordic walking, but there are many other great options for females over 50 - TaiQi, Pilates, Isometrics.

Stay healthy!

even my age, I had serious problems with my posture, then I realised (and the docter confirmed it), that I have weak rear delt, so I started a programm with rear delts focus and tried to remind my self to seat and stand correctly. I made a huge progress and still working on that

if you are wondering how bad is your posture, you can try a following test: find a wall without a baseboard (it can be not a wall but closed door) and try to stand as straight as you can pressing your back to the wall: first press your heels, then calves, then backside, try to press your lower back, back, shoulder blades, finally shoulders. If it is impossible to stand like that even a minute, then your posture needs correction. If you can stay like that 5 min - your posture is good.

Great outfit. Looks really nice. Posture is even important for digestion. I swim. That really helps to keep shoulder, neck and back muscles limber.

I love these guys and their tips are pretty good even if their videos are a little silly. I used the one on sleeping on a small rolled up sock to help with my baby "Dowager's/Widow's Hump" that was forming from too many hours at the computer. I'm not that old just yet!!! Here's that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Uko-gs--C8 Here's their channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/physicaltherapyvideo/search?query=posture

I have been hunched over a desk, and then at a computer, since jr. high school age. A few years ago, I began to consciously straighten up after seeing my slumping self at a table, reflected in a McDonald's window, waiting for my bacon double cheeseburger, fries, and chocolate shake. Most people look a lot slimmer with better posture. A physical therapist helped me.

Interesting exercise. I could do all points except lower back and I felt my calves stretching. Does that mean by backside is disproportionate to the rest of my body?

You wear the cutest outfits.

Just wanted to say that I like the tips about posture as I try to emphasize this to my teen and her friends as they sometimes have a tendency to be lazy with their posturing.....it is really important to stay on top of things as to prevent health issues later in life. But I also wanted to tell you that you wear your outfits well and your appearance is "L-I-T" ....your body has a long lean look to be envied. Keep up the great work!!!! ;) Keep the pics coming, its refreshing to see your outfits and health performance changes.

Due to the natural curve it is practically impossible to do...lol.. that is why I wrote "try to press...". Its just needed to align your spine.
