I am 50+, and I am on Keto Diet. :-)).. or trying to keep up, at least, low carb!

My goal is to go down to 60kg (about 132lbs) and see if I will be satisfied with my looks. I do not really want to loose all my body fat - just those strategic deposits on my abdomen and on the base of my neck.

Being in Ketosis alone does not help me with weight loss, but it does with my brain function, which is great.

I have a desk job - and for many years my main exercise was walking from the door to the car. I used to walk my dog, but he got old, obese and has arthritis. In 10 min he starts to look like I have to carry him back, so I just left poor guy alone.

I cant jog, because of my foot joints. I cant do heavy lifting because of my shoulder and lower back. Yeah, sounds like I am a basket case. I dont do yoga because I am

But I can walk! I heard about this thing called Nordic Walking and this was the right fitness for me. It reduces the stress to the joints and at the same time all upper body works too: arm, shoulders, back muscles.

As soon as you learn the right technique - it is awesome aerobic workout, lifting my heart rate up to 122 and it is not exhausting.

It may be that you are not consuming enough fat. I looked at your food diary and your fat is mostly around 60+%. Allow some fluctuation to that number due to inaccuracy of macros, lets say 10% off. It is not enough.

The fat ratio to enter into ketosis should be 80+%, at least at the beginning phase. Excess of protein is what kills the ketosis. Our body is smart and chooses the energy source that is easiest. Do not starve yourself with deficit of calories at this time if you exercise.

For me personally only bulletproof coffee\teas\fatbombs allow to raise fat intake. You may consider that too or search for something similar.

I hope it will be helpful.

Why Overweight when calories in are less than calories used?
I completely agree. It is simple math and yours is miscalculated...Smile)... I used to love a bottle or two of sweet cider before bed, never considered it a "food" item... guess what, it was 210 calories per bottle! 2 bottles - one additional meal.

With any diet the deficit of calories will cause weight loss.

Steps per day
I use Samsung app to count steps and activity - mainly because it is always with me.
As many of you I have a desk job...Like really desk-desk job, as my car is parked about 10 steps from the door.

So I walk in mornings and the phone records the time and amount of steps and then I just transfer the time to the workout log here.
