Michigan's governor issued stay-at-home as of midnight tonight. Being a small business, my husband and I have quite a bit of worries~ mostly the unknown. We're prepared here at home and we're both healthy so that is the biggest blessing.
For the next three weeks, we look forward to all the positive things that come with having time off! *spending quality time together *focusing on fitness *catch up on sleep! goal: at least 8.5 hrs every night *spring cleaning one room at a time *spending time in the art studio(me), music studio(hubby) *creating new recipes *as weather allows, spring cleanup outside
Stay safe - stay focused - reach out if you need help. Well all get through this!

Make sure you ask for help from the federal government. I heard on the news people are already applying for it. You could get enough money to pay your employees and rent.

Ram12Gar - Fortunately, its just my husband and I at work. Our only employee retired in December. Financially, we feel like we'll be ok as long as utility companies are lenient. The property manager for the building came to us right away and offered no collection of rent for 3 months! We're lucky to have a compassionate friend in him! Our home is paid for (thank goodness) I guess our fear is the economic future of the community and the aftermath. Thank you for your suggestion, it is definitely something to consider if we absolutely need.

Wishing you the best through this. I know it is hitting small businesses the hardest. Stay healthy, follow the restrictions and try to stay positive. So.e exercise often helps.

My younger son now owns the small business we started 56 years ago. It is still operating because it is considered essential (HVAC) but he's already lost two employees due to daycare closings and eldercare issues. This is pandemic stone casts so many unexpected ripples.
