I don't make pretty meals to share, but I decided tonight to follow the example of Bristle Cone and post my walk picture. My walk this evening was 10 miles along this lazy river. Sunset colors weren't amazing, but it was still lovely!

10 miles! I hope you got home before dark. That would take me about 4 hours.

Keylen, you are so RIGHT! Walking in nature is something to nourish the soul. The start of this walk is about a 20 minute drive from my house. It is so worth the trip! Thank you all for enjoying this with me for a moment!

Beautiful...I would have enjoyed walking with you. I am a firm believer that walking in nature soothes the soul. 😍 How could it not!!

Fritzy, it was dark when we got back to the car, but that is OK! I was with a friend! We always turn around at the same bridge... So about 10.2 miles. Last night we did it in 2 hours and 29 minutes. It used to seem hard. My hips hurt, I had an issue with my knee, I got tendonitis in the top of my foot. I had to work up my speed and distance slowly. Now it is easy to go far, and when I don't go as far I can go faster. I'm so thankful for the weight I have lost making it possible. It happened hugely due to this group..... It has made the difference

Ruthi, I'm so sorry you can't. My mom can't either and she was my inspiration... Her and her mother before her. We have all been walkers. I hope you can just go to a beautiful place and soak in the sight. It can still feed the soul. Kenna, thanks! Yes, a beautiful place helps the time fly. I am fortunate to live in the pacific northwest where just walking out my door means I'm in a pretty place. I'll cry when the cold and clouds and rain return though...

We live in Western Washington. The summers are beautiful. The fall, winter, and spring are so wet and cloudy a lot of the time. But, it makes for a lot of beautiful green stuff growing!
