I am 72 and a mother to a 50 year old daughter. I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and I like to go to church, Bible studies, TOPS and LA Fitness(I read while exercising on the stationary bike). Although raised outside of Denver until age 10, I've been a Californian since. I won't open an e-mail unless I know who it's from. I've struggled with overeating and poor food choices since I was a teen when I realized I was overweight. I got down to goal in my senior year and kept it off for a while. When I got pregnant at age 21 I was 10 pounds overweight. After giving birth, I was successful in getting down to goal of 148 in 1969 with 16 weeks of WW, keeping the weight off for a year or so before gaining back. In 1976 or so I got back to goal with Hcg through Lindora Clinic in Orange, Ca. loosing 30 pounds but didn't do maintenance and gained weight back over time. I remember how good I felt and got down to a size 12 for the first time I could remember. Even my cankles shaped up. So I know by experience where I want to be physically. Looking at my past successes give me hope for the future.

Thanks for sharing. I have Kaiser in So. Cal. How did you get a RN case manager? I am morbidly obese and attended Healthy Balance but recommendations are not low carb and gained from healthy balance macros.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Daily first thing on empty bladder but also have weekly accountability weigh in at Wednesday 8:00 TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meeting at Orange Senior Center a few miles from me. Weigh in is from 8-9. Meeting from 9 to 10. We have two weekly members who have achieved KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) status. Anyone can join for $32 a year and our chapter is $3 a month. They are very encouraging with contests from time to time. If you have a gain or a loss, weight recorder reads your name and member can share amount of gain or loss if he or she chooses too. So all is positive. This week I had the most net lost and won quarters members can donate if they had a gain for the week.

Coffee with Cream
Yesterday at Ralph's they had a mark down on sugar free Torani Pumpkin Pie Flavor. I don't like using sugar free products often but it was an excellent special treat. 2 Tbsp has 0 carbs and 5 mg sodium. There is a suggestion to make your own sugar free flavored creamer with 1/4 cup Torani to 1 pint half and half. I'm going to try to post a picture.

Coffee with Cream
Smart and Final has sugar free liquid flavors like they have at Starbucks. Torani I think. Using sugar free flavor with heavy cream would elminate the sugar and would be keto friendlier
