Kidding aside. You can only make all of this work if your desire to achieve your goal, or to stay alive (as in many cases here) is stronger than your need for that piece of cake or that salty bag of chips.

Livoo1— I am a huge supporter of the concept of eating HEALTHIER MOST OF THE TIME, and enjoying things that are not quite as good for me (7 oz. regular Coke) occasionally and in moderation interms Of amount. I live this way and have for many, many years. I am not dieting, it is a way of life. IF you are someone who can control that impulsive, compulsive nature you can have almost anything you want to eat. You just can’t do it every day. This is not a “cheat” meal or food or whatever it is being able to have a solid relationship with your food., but YOU are the BOSS.

Alona— I have never eaten at either one of those places so not sure what they are all about, but from the TV ads I see, I don’t think what they offer would suit my lifestyle. And WOE.

we have friends who love going to Ruby Tuesdays. It is is actually doable for me. Ours has a terrific salad bar and you can order a grilled piece of chicken, steak, shrimp or fish to put on top. I avoid their regular menu items and take my own salad dressing. Their reg menu contains way too many calories and we won't even mention the high carb counts. I go online before we go out to eat and check out restaurant menus and their nutrition listings because I hate being blindsided or rushed.
